More then Harden? If so, wow!

Harden is 1A,B,C....Z. And he is obtainable. What player of his caliber wants to be 6th man (O' year)? Yes, in interviews he says all the right things but any 22yo NBA stud wants starter role and lineup responsibility. Now the ifs...IF Thunder don't win it all and GM feels the need to 'tweak' roster...IF they really can't/won't sign both Harden and Ibaka....IF Perkins at C has run its course...IF Kahn wants to go all-in (trade of something like Pek/DWill/#18 for Harden/Perkins). So lot of IFs but doable.

I am holding out for an offseason that results Harden(SG)-trade and Batum(SF)-via FA. I may be waiting until hell freezes over, but I have an overcoat and patience.

He is a player that is going to get max in a year. Afflalo allows to keep core pek + love + rubio while adding a wingmen that is efficient jump shooter at a good contract (7 million a year). He is taller than ridnour still a little undersized. I think the same exact height as harden. His defense is above-average for a shooting guard which is a huge deal. He is perfect for the type of player t-wolves need at that position.

This trade is based on the assumption that Miami dominates Indiana.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=c7gy6j9

I would likely include #18, and other pieces could be added as well.

A lot of people are projecting that Indiana will make a run at Eric Gordon this offseason. The Pacers currently have Paul George at SG, who is probably going to be better longterm at SF. This trade would give them a clear upgrade at starting PG over Collison, and someone to replace David West, who Williams is often compared to.

A Ridnour/Gordon/George/Williams/Hibbert lineup would be very nice for the Pacers.

The reason for Minnesota is to give us another 1a star to pair up with Love and Rubio. Rubio/Granger/Love/Pekovic is a very nice set of four to help us to contend.

(Waiting for the "Kahn says Granger is overpaid" crowd)

I don't think Love likes Granny Danger much. He has made comments that he doesn't like anyone on the Pacers besides Collison, plus they always get into it during games. I'm just not a fan of his.

I would love to add Afflalo, Harden, Gordon or George. t's actuually really surprising how weak the SG position is in the nba right now. Teams know this too, if anyone thinks teams are going to trade away their SG's without a replacement in place or in mind your redicilous.

Fields & Stevenson would be a solid combo that paired with a better SF than Beasley or Johnson could really solidify the team. Fields can shoot and Rubio will only help hi FG%'s. Stevenson is underrated, for 2 mill he's a quality rotation player and better than anyyone currently starting for the Wolves.

Hmmm, good call. I forgot about the fight. Also, now that I think about it, Bird and Kahn don't really like each other either.

That because Bird is a man and Kahn is a dirtbag sleazeball.

???

What has Kahn done that is sleazeballish?
Draft the wrong player then defend the decision?
I can't think of anything.

It goes back to his journalistic days in Portland, when he sued his former employer and his tenure in NBADL, when he was buying, dismantling and selling teams. His handling of coaches is also been not classy, to say the least.

Landry Fields is not worthy of being a starter on a team that is trying to make a serious come up. This man gets torched by every notable SG on defense. He would be a good bench player but starter on a credible team? No

Wiretap saying Heisley wants to avoid the luxury tax, good-bye Mayo.

Still would be fine with us getting him, hoping a change of scenery would do good for him.

Yep, just confirms what everyone has been saying about the Grizzliers payroll situation. I'd also be fine with adding Mayo, preferably if he wasn't the "big" move, but a secondary addition.

I'd be down with adding Mayo if we can get a star at SF.

Mayo for anything above 5 million isn't worth it.

Found this on RC via espn:
Mayo done in Memphis?

UPDATE: Mayo's position this season is also a key to whether he stays or leaves in the summer.

Ronald Tillery of The Commercial-Appeal: writes: "Mayo stated he wants to play point guard going forward, and he'll certainly be looking for a deal that pays more than the $5.6 million he earned this season. Despite obvious limitations on the ball and inconsistent shooting, what Mayo might command could be too steep for the Grizzlies."

Mayo was the sixth-man this season, but he prefers to start.

More interesting to me is the fact that he supposedly wants to play PG.

He's been wanting to play PG ever since he's came into the league, so that doesn't surprise me. Whenever he gets the opportunity to play there, he doesn't look good (from what I've seen).

My guess is you could pretty much trade garbage for Rudy Gay at this point. For the life of me, I don't know why they paid Randolph and Gay so much.
