Milwaukee and Houston have a trade to announce.

Tribe out:
Darren Collison - ($2,319,344)
PHI 2013 1st
Total = $2,319,344

Rockets out:
Brandon Jennings - ($3,179,493)
Total = $3,179,493

The Tribe do this deal to upgrade our PG position and our playmaking ability. Brandon is a good scorer and a tenacious defender. We feel like he can really flourish in a D'Antoni offense and can choose his spots a bit easier now with the likes of Durant/Henderson/Landry to dish the rock to. We are saddened to see that pick go, but the time to win is now; not later. Good dealing as always, Scott!

Houston has picked up Marshall as out PGOTF and we have Lin to work with him - (both of whom have the size to play off Lou Williams). Collison will be our insurance and we expect him to shake the sophomore slump and become the change of pace - defensive presence he showed as a rookie. The Pick will add to our assets for a Player or to se in the 2013 draft. Great Dealing Connor!

#91:

To Utah:
Corey Brewer ($3,243,000)

To Atlanta:
Nolan Smith ($1,365,720)
Dominique Jones ($1,276,560)
3M cash

Total: 2,642,280 * 1.5 + 100,000 = 4,063,420

Deal works.

UTA accepts. Corey Brewer is a perfect role player, gives you 26-28 MPG of great defense. Was a main reason Kobe struggled in games 3-5 against the Nuggets in the 1st round, and I'm thrilled to have him.

The Nets and Buffalo would like to announce a sign+trade deal:

Brooklyn Trades:
JJ Hickson - $5,720,000

for

Jordan Hill - $3,632,526
Jon Brockman -$1,000,000

We didn't want to pay Hickson longterm, but we needed a solid backup at C/PF. Hill gives us that. Brockman can give us minutes if needed and is an expiring contract. Good dealing.

Hickson aka Amare-Lite aka would've been in discussion for MIP if picked up earlier.
His athleticism, scoring, and rebounding next to the DPotY will be a great fit for us.

We do this for the money. We liked Brewer, but we get 3m in cash, and another ~.5 in saved money, and can tell our fans we just got two upside guys. We sleep on a bed of money, happily.

Buffalo sends:
$14,752,645 - Joe Johnson

Utah sends:
$07,400,000 - Wilson Chandler
$05,248,750 - Zaza Pachulia

$12,648,750 - Total

I'm probably selling Johnson a bit short here but we do it for 3 reasons. 1) He was just too damn expensive even mini-amnestied. 2) What killed us last year was depth. Wilson Chandler is a rare all-around wing player on offense and defense. Pachulia is a great backup center to have. He has the size and is able to push other bigs out the box. Tyson Chandler + Zaza Pachulia could be one of the better defensive 5 rotations in the leave. 3) We have to worry about our future. Paul possibly resigning next season. George Hills extension this year (hopefully). Zaza expiring is going to help a lot.

UTA accepts. I felt i needed another star next to Rose, and JJ fits the bill perfectly.

#94 - PHX & ATL

Phoenix Sends:
Patrick Patterson - $2,096,000

Atlanta Sends:
Nolan Smith - $1,365,720
$3M Cash

ATL has cap space and can absorb the salary.

Pheonix Accepts. We have a very intentioned roster and Patterson, while a nice young prospect, had no room in it. $3M helps out in a game that revolves around money.

Orlando Magic agree to send

Chris Bosh $17,545,000

to the Blazers for

Eric Gordon $13,750,000

Luis Scola $4,408,207

total: $18,158,207

orlando needs a sg for the future and to make room for favors. scola provides good depth/experience up front as well.

Our frontcourt can now battle with LAL, or any team in the league for that matter. Hayward/Terry is aight at SG, and our frontcourt is quite good.

Atlanta does this. Nolan had a great day here, but all great things must end.
Deal edited to include the Hou 2nd.

#96 - PHI & PDX

Philly sends:
Kyle Lowry - $750,000
Thaddeus Young - $8,039,130
Nikola Vucevic - $1,719,480
Total - $10,508,610

Portland sends:
Brook Lopez - $12,000,000
Total - $12,000,000

Salaries work.

Philly accepts - first trade in the right direction. We will miss Lowry, but Lopez is someone who can anchor our low-post going forward.

Good dealing BlackIce.

Lowry at under a mill is a nice, and Young/Vucevic are quality depth.

Trade 97

Houston & Quebec Kebs (Denver Nugs) announce a deal

The Quebec Kebs send Alec Burks $2,171,640 & Caron Butler ($8,000,000) ($10,171,640) to
Houston for 2011 Most Improve Player - Ryan Anderson ($9,000,000)

9 x 1.25 = 11.25M (1 X + $5M works ; 150% works) its all good now - Deal works under CBA

The Rockets needed to upgrade their SG position and feel Alec Burks is a future star in the association with great size and handles for the position. Caron Butler is a silled SF who provide quality leadership - glue guy, but who will be moved as he does not fit wih the young core that eh Rockets are building.

The Rockets are committed to the development of Thompson, Moultrie and the rest of their core while Ryan should be in a win now situation where he can spread the floor for a dominant post. Great dealing Alex. win win trade

Houston for 2011 Most Improve Player - Ryan Anderson ($9,000,000)

6.221 x 1.5 = 9.3M (lessor of 6.21 X 1.00 + 5M = 11.21M - Deal works under CBA

The Rockets needed to upgrade their SG position and feel Alec Burks is a future star in the association with great size and handles for the position. Anthony Randolph is still young, but really in this deal for filler as he will never be the player he could. 35 /10 one night - 2 pts and 4 fouls the next.

The Rockets are committed to the development of Thompson, Moultrie and the rest of their core while Ryan should be in a win now situation where he can spread the floor for a dominant post. Great dealing Alex. win win trade

Quebec accept

Anderson is a special talent and we love is rebouding and 3pts threath.

Trade 98.
Philadelphia and Atlanta have reached agreement:
Jose Calderon (10,562,981) will be heading to Atlanta, while
Farmar (4,250,000) Morrow (4,000,000) and Duhon (3,250,000) all will be reporting to the Sixers.

Money works, roster spots work.

Atlanta does this deal, as Jose is the perfect mentor to the entire team. He will join Splitter as the only players on the team over 24, and will provide that leadership that Duhon was originally brought in for.

It also clears roster spots for 2nd rounders if desired.

PDX and MEM have a trade to announce.

PDX outgoing:
Thaddeus Young $7,478,261

MEM outgoing:
Carlos Boozer $9,000,000

Boozer is 15/9 in less than 30 MPG and is clearly a quality starter. He got a lot of hate because of his contract but at 9 million annually...we think he's a bargain. Young is nice but we are trying to win a title this season.

Vancouver accepts. Boozer really didn't fit in to the youth movement. Very intrigued with Young, always been a big fan

Yes! I get trade #100

To Utah:
David West ($10,000,000)

To Philly:
Elton Brand ($5,628,843)
Isaiah Thomas ($762,195)
Randy Foye ($2,500,000)
2013 UTA 2nd

Total: 8,891,038 * 1.5 + 100,000 = 13,436,557

Deal works.

UTA accepts. West is a great post presence that my team needed. He was 13/7 in 29 MPG in the regular season, and has been 16/10/2 in the post-season. His toughness, post game and skills in the P&R will help my team flourish.
