until then, when your biggest change is a reluctant trade for a guy that the team only made to console Dwight - and who turns out to be the best player on the roster in the playoffs once Dwight goes down, then the team hasn't got any kind of credentials as to why someone should buy into their plan and philosophy.

Were it me (as in ownership) ... After I get a new GM, I would require to sign an extension before (continuing to) building around him.

No way I would my team through this whole fiasco again. For all we know we could make all kinds of change and he says "Thanks, I'd rather be in Brooklyn".

There's no guarantee that if we make considerable changes, he's definitely staying here.

This right here^^^

One of the best and most sensible posters on this forum IMO. (mhectorgato)

Show me the extension, I'll show you rebuilding.

Rebuilding is not a one year process at all, so for those of you who think Dwight should hold out until we "build a contender"...well he won't be under contract anymore by that point. And that is a huge gamble.

No one has a read on what Dwight is thinking. For all we know, like mhector said, we could just begin our rebuild around Dwight process, and then next season he just leaves for Brooklyn or Dallas. No commitment, you gotta go.

I struggle to believe that any of you would be happy to sit and suffer ineptitude from your own employers at the expense of your largest career goal.

For the past 2 seasons it's been blatantly obvious that the team needs changes but all we've seen are bandaids and all we've heard is "I like this team". Time for the team to pony up and put a real plan into action.

And I call BS on anyone trying to say that the team can't make moves to improve the team regardless of whether or not we're rebuilding around Dwight or not. If the team's rebuilding plans with or without Dwight don't involve bringing in another marquee talent then they're not thinking big enough. If I'm Dwight then I'd view the magic taking that position as an indication that they're not confident in their own abilities to get talent, so why would I want to extend with a team like that?

Our team is garbage as it stands now. Whether Dwight stays or goes, we got to change the roster up drastically.

Dwight can only sign a 2 or 3 year extension sooo thats not gonna happen but!

Ive believed all along theres somethin goin down and he knows hes stayin in Orlando it makes no sense to opt in and go another year of bein hated

2013 NBA Free Agents
Chris Paul, L.A. Clippers – $17.8 million – Unrestricted
Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic – $19.5 million – Unrestricted
Josh Smith, Atlanta Hawks – $13.2 million – Unrestricted

and guess who has cap room in 2013

could this be GSW's master plan all along, taking the ultimate risk renting dwight by offering Bogut? Otis conspiracy I tell you.

I think the note in your signature will get the message across from here on out, so you should be fine. I don't think people will get angry if they know it's due to vision issues. They just don't like it when someone does it in an unnecessary manner. Anyway, if you're interested in increasing the text on your computer so you can easily read everyone's posts, it's not hard at all - just requires a few clicks of the mouse. Simply do a google search like this - "how to increase text on ________ " (insert operating system - like windows 7, etc - or web browser name if it uses independent text settings). You can also search on youtube if you prefer video instructions.

just FYI, most internet browsers (Internet Explorer/Firefox/Safari/Chrome) should give you menu options at the top of the screen (File/Edit/View/Window/Help).

if you go to VIEW, there should be an option called ZOOM.

under ZOOM, there should be ZOOM IN, and ZOOM OUT.

by going to ZOOM IN it should make all text on the screen larger. you might find it helps you on other sites as well that feature small font.

i'm not sure how you've been reading everyone else's posts so far, unless you cut and paste into another program and make the font bigger? if so, this option could save you a lot of time.

i hope this helps.

omgz 8 whole years he should know everything about computers! /sarcasm
I've got engineers who've been on a computer for 20 some odd years who couldn't tell you how to change text size. So your post Is pointless.

Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.

So minimoe has made 1928 ALL CAPS posts? I wonder how many warnings he got in the last 8 years.

I'll add something useful to this post. I was reading an article on about the Magic drafting Orton last year and nearly vomited when they said nearly every team in the league worked Orton out except for the Magic, and every team easily saw he had knee issues. Then they said we didn't even talk to Harper on the phone once, let alone work him out, and yet made a draft day deal for him. Can't wait for a FO shakeup. You'd think someone in the organization would have some balls and step up and demand these players be worked out, like one Stan Van Gundy, but I guess not. I don't want to blow our 19th pick because we're incompetent and not doing any work before the draft.

I have messaged minimoe on this issue.

But to clue people in.

minimoe seemingly is now sharing an account with his father, bigmoe.

I had to search through 1940+ posts, and find this other user to work out the whole story. This is all readily available information via the "search users posts" function, no tomfoolery has been used here, except my own time.

bigmoe has posted a total of 21 times, once in Jul 2011, and his post before that was full year before that in Jul 2010. He used all CAPS for all 21.

minimoe, until these past few posts, had not mentioned or used all caps since Jul 2010 in which he was defending bigmoe about his caps use. bigmoe never mentioned his problem, only minimoe in defence of his father. In his 1920+ posts, he has used all CAPS on less than and handful of occasions, while I did not count the uses in all 56 pages of reading I did, in the past two years he has only used them in this thread (3 times) and once in 2010. Beyond that I believe it is once again. So something like 99.7% of his posts are non-caps. To put it in perspective.

It seems now that bigmoe has started to use his sons account, and since his pattern seems to be posting in ~July each year, it would make sense that he is coming back pretty much on schedule.

Given the rarity and few and far between of these posts, it is impossible to expect any user, mods included to remember these incidents, and pretty much every time the all caps posts have come around, someone has complained about them.

As mentioned by Eyriq, it is against user policy and procedure to use all CAPS.

I have mentioned in the PM to minimoe that computers offer various solutions to eyesight problems, the easiest being CTRL + Scroll UP to make your page bigger and easier to read.

All CAPS must come to a stop.

If in future, all CAPS are used again, do not comment, simply REPORT the post and one of our team will pick it up and deal with it.

Thanks for the time everyone.

.........wtf?

This is elementary, anyone with any common sense would.........I give up. I just have to hope that either:

A.) The journalist who wrote that report is mistaken

or

B.) Big changes are coming.

Actually, I hope it's both.

I've heard this story from a couple of different outlets before but about years past, never anything about this last year's draft. So it doesn't surprise me that we would draft a guy with a knee injury that barely played in college without even having a phone interview. Apparently Foyle has been given a bunch more responsibility and was basically running the trade deadline for us. Not sure that worked out, but at least signals a change.
