OT - My girl got fat

I had the same problems years ago. I told her one day that she gotta loose some weight (she gained around 40 pounds too) and then she started crying, blaming me that I destroyed her life. Well, in the end, she went to the gym, but it was too late.
She lost probably 20 pounds, but she never regained the body she used to have when we first dated.
1 or 2 years later I finally broke it off, but I should have done this way earlier.

She used to be perfectly thick when I first met her. She toed that line between thick and fat perfectly. Over the last year shes gained mad weight. Like 40 pounds. Our sex life has suffered as a result. I find it harder and harder to stay erect when we get busy. I often have to peetend Im banging a hot model chick just maintain my boner. Shes obviously gotten way too comfy with me and now Im afraid Im gonna end up leaving her or cheating on her. I still love her to death but I cant spend my life with a fat girl, shallow as that sounds. Any yall ever been in this position or know anybody who was?

Basically, 3/4ths of the American population are AT LEAST overweight. So most of the cats in this thread are hypocrites. But if their GF left or threatened to leave them, there would be all sorts of butt hurt coming from them. Then she'd be a slut, whore, whatever. But when the shoes on the other foot, it's all good. It's pretty messed up.

You guys keep presuming that a salad is the answer. And sometimes it is--BUT are you aware that most people drench a salad with oils/dressing/bacon bits, oil-soaked croutons etc.? Many such salads are even worse than most fast foods.

I only dated very thin women for this same reason. The last thing I want is for my wife to get fat. I have tried to get women I've dated to go to the gym more and eat healthier, but it is always a losing proposition. You need to picture how they will look 5, 10, 20 years down the road if you are thinking long-term.

I'm only going to marry a chick who is at least 5 years younger than me. Maybe go for a 30 year old when I'm nearing 40, not neccaserily because of the weight thing but I don't want someone who isn't going to age badly and look older than me.
