I've never had this problem, but man--- I think you handled it the right way.

Everyone who is calling this dude shallow is full of ****!!! Physical attraction is 90% of a relationship. If you disagree, let me ask you--- if you were single, would you be seeking out fat chicks at the bar? NO (unless you were 30 burs deep). A girl who takes care of her body is extremely attractive and it shows that she is trying for you.

This dude did everything he could to hint that his chick needed to lose some **** weight and she called his bluff! In turn, he CAME THROUGH WITH HIS WORD!!! WAY TO BE A MAN BROTHA!!! She had to know you weren't **** around. YOU wear the **** pants.

Enough of this "weight doesn't matter because she gets me" bull from some of you--- there is no excuse that she can't get her ass in a gym or go out for a run for an hour instead of pounding beers on the couch watching television.

Looks obviously do matter, although they arent everything. Every man wants a woman thats built like beyonce or Jessica Alba depending on your specific taste, but at the end of the day most of us arent going to find that (although i think there are plenty of Alba bodies out there lol). When your looking for love its a mix of looks and a number of other important things. You may give a little in the looks department if she is over the top in other areas, and you may give a little in other areas if she is over the top in the looks department. But if you arent attracted to the girl at all because she is so big, you gotta let her go. I was in a similar situation once upon a time. Took me about 5 months to build up the guts to tell her I wanted out. I tried everything from not calling her for long periods of time, to just seeming detached and not interested and none of it works. Sometimes you just gotta say what you want or dont want and move on if its not going to work, even if feelings are hurt.

Gotta say though be careful when you make the decision to get married. well depending on what marriage means to you. You marry a chick and she tosses on 40 pounds you gotta work with her to get it off. What happens if she losses an arm and a leg and use of the left side of her body in a car accident? You gonna leave her? These are the delimas when getting into a serious relationship.

In this dudes situation he doesnt owe her that much. He's lucky he found this out before he fell head over heels and proposed, and got married and had kids and all that with the chick.
