i wouldn't be surprised to hear he's out for an extended period of time due to needing some type of surgery he's been putting off trying to play through it. its the only explanation for being so terrible. this is beyond the slump stage.

the espn broadcasters last night couldn't even explain it. they said pujols said he was healthy and his swing looks like it always has, they just chalked it up to him losing confidence.
