PG Recognized

Post#1 » by Wizop » Tue May 15, 2012 1:17 pm

Without much fanfare so far, wiretap reports that Paul George has made the USA Select Team. That's the team that practices against the Olympic team and is an early indication of who might have a leg up in the future. Another member with local connections is Gordon Hayward. I think it'll be big for PG to play against these guys and with these coaches. It'll be a much better summer than practicing with Danny Granger - an experience Bird recently described as just a three point shooting contest.

Congrats to PG, the kids earned it, one of the few young stars who plays on both ends of the court.

I heard Hibbert would have been invited but he is ineligible because he played for Brazil a couple years ago? If thats the case thats a shame, he could also benefit from an experience like this.

No wonder Granger started the season in chucking mode and George was red hot from downtown.
