Thank goodness they are doing maintenance now, because if I got home to start playing I'd be irate. 8-)

Weird, just saw a tweet that servers are down for maintenance for the next hour.

It's not down for everyone.

They said it may have an impact on performance/randomly go out.

Yeah I got disconnected due to getting a phone call(the downside of playing on a tethered phone at work) and now I can't get back in, so probably just the login servers that are currently down but if you are in game you are okay.

We'll keep this thread open since it's been here a long time but just as an FYI there is now a gamers forum here

I'm not a computer gamer (very sporadically), but I honestly wouldn't be down with a game I could only play online (especially since I'm a big single player guy). Plus, I game on the go a lot when I do resort to computer gaming.

I'm about to give up for the night. It's pretty frustrating - I'm getting kicked out every 10 minutes max, and your location isn't saved of course. I've played the first floor of the chancellor's keep four times.

I know it's launch day, but it's frustrating.

I'm waiting for a newer OS to arrive before I can install the game. Even then I'm worried I'll need to buy a new machine. I have a ton of ram because of my music apps, but my graphics card is old school.

DrugBust what Mac are you running this on?

I stopped playing earlier than I wanted to last night as well. The server time outs were getting super annoying.

Blizzard has a lot of experience with this stuff after WoW. I assume they'll have it figured out soon.

2008 iMac. 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo , 4 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT with 128MB of GDDR3 memory.

Wow, that thing is hella old.

I think we have the exact same computer then, and I should be good to go when OS 10.6 arrives.

10.6 is listed as the minimum system req, but 10.7 is recommended. Is there something in 10.7 that would increase performance/framerate/whatever? It's a cheap upgrade if there is a tangible benefit.
