That would have been so sweet if Paul nailed that one. Great steal by the Truth. You don't need to score to contribute.

I must say it, Hollins is a pretty darn good defender.
Awesome half, let's blow it up in the 2nd half and rest the starters.

Take that back, nice finish to the quarter. That Pierce shot would have been huge. Too Bad. Great half for the Celtics.

You know they are gonna make a run. The celtics have to just keep hitting them back. If they hit you, respond, hit them back. This team used this motto against the heat this year when they won in Miami, and i think thats a very good and inspiring one. At least to me.

Can't ask for anymore from Rondo or KG. Both are maxing out tonight.
With Pietrus' shot on track, he should get some good looks in the second half with the way KG's handling the paint.
I thought we were too banged up to get over the hump tonight and would lose pretty bad because of it....
Never been more happier to be wrong.

So glad we got at least 4 points back. Don't know why we play like crap at the end of quarters.

KG with 17 and 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Playing flat out of his mind right now.
Rondo with 17 points and 7 assists (only 5 actually credited to him, with two being given to other players by a bitter scorekeeper) and 3 rebounds.
Paul is hanging in there. They have to stop forcing the ball into him. It is only making bad things happen.
Ray needs to solidify on defense, but is spacing the floor as usual.
Peaches has finally shown up. Couldn't have come any sooner.
Hollins has been solid. Greg has been awful. He can't be playing more.
Bass at least isn't totally killing us, but he could be much better.

KG 17-9-3
RR 17-3-5
are leading the way!!!! Both very aggressive.
PP playing on guts alone = 9-6-3 and 2 steals. He cannot make a J - and the MCL is the reason. But he is clearly contributing.
A couple of 3s by MP.
DO NOT LET UP, PLEASE.

Pietrus is the new Posey, With the production we've been getting from our bigs (Bass with 0 rebounds in nearly 15 minutes), I propose that he gets more minutes @ PF

Posey was far more consistent (which had a lot to do with durability) than Pietrus.

Not ridiculous, since we won't be facing a lot of tall PFs this round or next.

We have to start this third quarter great, don't let them keep inching closer, lets continue to be aggressive and make the lead so big that it will be difficult to come back from in the 4th. Can't ask anything more from these guys in this first half.

Doc needs to stop playing Stiemsma!! Hollins has been more useful so far in the playoffs, I hope most of you agree with me.
Dooling as much as we've been mad at him, has been very decent and MP is stepping it up too. Bass played a decent half as well.
Needless to say, KG is an absolute MONSTER! RR beasting too, Ray and Paul are okay so far. Glad to see Paul dunk the ball 2 times.
Like our effort.

The absolute best stat of the first half?
TWO turnovers, baby. We pushed the envelope, yet held onto that rock. That is just great.

One of Red's main rules was that the first 5 minutes of the third quarter were the most important in the game. You could win a game right then and there, or get back into one, depending upon how you came out the locker room. Keep the pedal pressed to the metal.
