So I check the general forums and I see they're still enjoying their Wade hate even though its two days later. Come here to get away from that and find this thread. Not surprising though, you rarely find Heat fans defending Wade on the general forums, at least the ones who joined 2010 and afterwards. Say something negative about James though...

I agree with the poster that said Wade gave his all in game 2. I mean the flagrant was a stupid move by him, but I honestly thought that was brought on by frustration. Which showed he at least cared enough about the game.

I just don't honestly see how people can blame Wade for game 2. Or even James for that matter(funny enough no here has). Those two tried their hardest the win the game for us. Miller, Haslem, Battier, ect..those are the guys who could've gave us something, but didn't. Had just one of them stepped up, just one, we could've won the game. I know someone is going to come in here and respond that we shouldn't have to rely on a roleplayers when we have two of the best players in the league. To that I say, basketball is a team sport. Two guys just can't do it alone, they're gonna need help from somewhere. With Bosh out for the rest of the series, it's a must.

Like I said earlier, I'm not shocked by this thread. Bosh gets the same treatment from some of you. One minute he's super soft and needs to be traded. The next he's the key to our entire offense and we miss him. And don't act like that doesn't happen here, you all remember that huge thread we had here bashing Bosh. It was only a matter of time before people felt brave enough to do it to Wade.

That's an interesting question. Shaq definitely had a psychological impact on Wade when he arrived. It was positive initially. Shaq's presence and attitude gave Wade the awareness that he was among the elite players. His game gained a certain confidence. I don't know if Wade could have played the way he did in the Finals if it wasn't for that psychological influence. As for the loafing, diva Wade is now, that's probably more a reaction to the life of being an NBA superstar with all the celebrity and ego that comes with it. That life would have a more damaging impact to his humble, hardworking nature than any single person could.

I think his attitude shifted during those two "Dwyane Wade and a bunch of Titos" seasons, especially the 09-10 season. He started talking publicly about trades for more help, about the 2010 FA summer, never really tried helping Beasley (not that can be helped but still, at least try).
