PHI needs roster to be at 12 pre ATL deal so will need to add those before accounting for the players received in that trade.

Houston & Quebec Kebs (Denver Nugs) announce a deal

The Quebec Kebs send Alec Burks $2,171,640 & Caron Butler ($8,000,000) ($10,171,640) to
Houston for 2011 Most Improve Player - Ryan Anderson ($9,000,000)

9 x 1.25 = 11.25M (1 X + $5M works ; 150% works) its all good now - Deal works under CBA

The Rockets needed to upgrade their SG position and feel Alec Burks is a future star in the association with great size and handles for the position. Caron Butler is a silled SF who provide quality leadership - glue guy, but who will be moved as he does not fit wih the young core that eh Rockets are building.

The Rockets are committed to the development of Thompson, Moultrie and the rest of their core while Ryan should be in a win now situation where he can spread the floor for a dominant post. Great dealing Alex. win win trade

Quebec accept the new deal !

Rockets were not sold on Lin's ability to keep up the insanity - or quality play with limited athleticism and not being an elite shooter. We have always liked both Williams and McRoberts. Both have been less that expected, but on balance both have produced. At this point - Their contracts are very affordable for the skills they offer. Glad to get this deal done - appreciate your patience LAL. Nice Deal.

Trade #102

Celtics outgoing:

Paul Pierce ($16,790,345)
E'Twaun Moore ($762,195) (UnG)
Total: $17,552,540

Blazers outgoing:

Kyle Lowry ($750,000)
Gordon Hayward ($2,532,960)
Carlos Boozer ($9,000,000)
Brandon Bass ($2,500,000)
PDX 2013 1st
Total: $14,782,960

Trade should work within the 1.25 rule. We want to thank Paul Pierce for everything he's done for our franchise. Moving him to a contender was something both parties felt was the right thing to do. Celtics added a great PG in Lowry, promising young wing in Hayward, Boozer who is a on a reasonable contract, and a familiar face Brandon Bass. Great dealing Portland.

Milwaukee and Utah have a trade to announce.

Tribe out:
Anderson Varejao - $8,368,182
Gerald Henderson - $3,101,237
Channing Frye - $6,000,000 (mini-amnestied)
Beno Udrih - $7,372,200
Total = $24,841,619

Rocky Mountains out:
Joe Johnson - $14,752,645
Amir Johnson - $6,050,000
Festus Ezeli - $473,604
Total = $21,276,245

After grueling negotiations, the Tribe finally accept a deal to bring in an all-star. Joe Johnson will be the robin to Durant's batman. He is still in his prime and averaging 18/4/4 with a TS% of .56 and a PER of 18.4. He may have had a down year, but we feel like a change of scenery and a lesser role in the offense will do him a world of good. We lose a nice young wing in Henderson, but JJ is an immense upgrade offensively and doesn't miss a beat defensively. Varejao is painful to lose, but with the signing of Dalembert paired with acquiring Amir and a great center prospect in Festus makes it more tolerable. Plus AV has had some real injury battles recently. Good dealing, Kees.

Randy Foye ($2,500,000)
2013 UTA 2nd

Total: 8,891,038 * 1.5 + 100,000 = 13,436,557

Deal works.

UTA accepts. West is a great post presence that my team needed. He was 13/7 in 29 MPG in the regular season, and has been 16/10/2 in the post-season. His toughness, post game and skills in the P&R will help my team flourish.

Philly accepts. We don't add any salary and we get a great young PG on an amazing contract.

Will update roster tomorrow - out of pocket this evening.

#104 San Antonio & Dallas

San Antonio Spurs trade:

Stephen Jackson - $10,059,750
2013 1st (unprotected)

Dallas Trade

Shawn Marion - $8,396,364

*works as Dallas are under the cap, and also under the 125% rule.

Why for SAS? We love Marion. Good LeBron stopper and generally versatile defender, excellent rebounder from SF, championship winning veteran. Has lost most of his wow-factor athleticism and is still able to perform solidly, so we don't expect much of a decline.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

UTA accepts. I really needed a center, especially after losing out on them all in FA. AV does the trick, and was 10.8/11.5 during the regular season, and is a big plus to both the offense (P&R, ORB) and defense (post D, steals, charges). Hendo is a nice 2 guard who can score, rebound and defend, all things I like to put next to Rose. Udrih saves me money and Frye allows me to put out the best shooting front court of Frye and Harrington. Good dealin' Conor.

r0c - I'll be gone most of the day, but if you could approve this deal and my other one (#100) sometime today (IE not one, then wait for the update then the other), I will update my roster tonight (then I am gone for the weekend). Thanks!

We lose a lot of depth but still have a solid bench, and add a huge upgrade at SG in Pierce. He is still around 20/5/5, and can facilitate the offense a bit allowing Westbrook to play off ball when need be.

We get a first rounder and expiring for a player some say is a "bad contract"

Houston accepts this deal. We hate to move Dudley who is a great glue guy who will give you 100% every time out. He is too good to sit - but does not have the elite athleticism to be a championship SF. I do like the balance that Jerryd brings our roster. He does have limitations as well, but is a driven, gym rat who will be a nice example to our young players. In addition, Bayless does have the fearless, scorers mentality and is able to get to the rim for instant scoring. I like his focus and this move will allow our other wings to develop in the time that would have been devoted to Jared.

Dallas has the cap space to do either version so I will let them pick
