You forgot to add that Jrich would probably be traded for an expiring or a draft pick.

You can get rid of all those players after 1 more season and still save the same amount of cap space as waiving them now. (depending if Jameer takes PO or 1 year deal) So except for waiving Duhon now, it does us no good losing this depth 1 season too early.
