Nick Young uni-d fun facts of the playoffs - If you want 3 point shooting, he's your man, but if you want anything else, fugetabootit. He's made 59% of his 3's... and 35% of his 2's... and has the same number of fouls as rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks... combined.

I_Like_Dirt wrote:Kobe's a douche, but I don't think the blame goes even mostly to him. The Lakers in general are terrible on offense in clutch situations. Their defense in clutch situations has generally been excellent, but their team just can't score against good defenses they way they used to be able to. Kobe isn't what he once was. Bynum is an offensive force against a team with a "frontcourt" like the Nuggets, but he's really tough to get the ball to against better defenses and risks lots of turnovers. Artest is one of the worst offensive players in the NBA. Blake runs hot and cold but really only works if he gets consistent open looks on his own timing, which he hasn't been against the Thunder to the tune of being 1 for only 6 shots (all 3s) in 2 games. Sessions can't shoot and is useless if he doesn't dominate the ball, and he doesn't with Kobe on the team. Their bench gets ugly after that. Gasol's really the guy they should be looking to a little more but the team in general seems to figure they've got better options.

They had basically every call go their way, played the game at their pace, had a day's rest in between games, had the Thunder play badly on offense and still lost. They're finished.

It's almost impossible to separate the Lakers bad clutch offense from Kobe's bad clutch play this season. In 4th quarter and OT with the score within 5 points, Kobe took 180 shots this year -- with an efg of .397. Number 2 in FGA: Bynum with 95 (and an efg of .695). Then Gasol with 84 and an efg of .506.

Kobe is 1st in FGA late in close games by a mile, but 11th on his own team in efg. He needs people to stop kissing his ass and telling him what a great clutch player he is and let him know that he's killing his team late in games with his piss-poor shooting.

Kobe has 115 points on 118 shots in 5 games vs. OKC this year.

That was one of the weakest technical fouls I have ever seen.

That's two *weak* techs on the Pacers, and two dangerous elbows by the Heat.

I'm glad Indiana isn't giving an inch.

Wade 1-10 lol. The Heat might be doing better if he was suspended.

:D I'm really enjoying the Heat getting their ass kicked-around. Miami can't match-up with their front-court.

They need to have another television show. Instead of "The Decision" I don't know what they could call it. "No Longer the Three Amigos?" "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly?" "We Ain't Winning Shyt Together?"

I'm enjoying this way too much. Wade crossed the line and this is good to see.

tontoz, I'm liking "The Delusion"

They sure put the EAT in Heat. Cleveland probably treats this like it's their own playoff victory.

I used to really like Wade. Maybe he was a jerk behind the scenes, but to me he didn't come off as one in public too much. Either he's changed a lot or I just caught up with him, because he seems worse than LeBJ now, with constant whining, harping, posturing, cheap fouls, and generally all-around unsportsmanlike conduct. Artest seems likable (though still quite dangerous) by comparison.

I'd call it:

"Not One, Not Two, Not Three..."

How right you were, LeBJ. It's like you can tell the future.

How good is Tim Duncan. That guy just keeps on rolling.

IQ and Skill over athletic.

Blake is still years away from being a good basketball player. Amazing athlete though.

Love the fact that Wade got exposed after ridiculously calling out the Pacers for celebrating too much AND getting away w/ a flagrant in game 2. Now he goes after Spoelstra for rightfully calling Wade out after he has failed to get back on D this ENTIRE series. His true colors are showing.
