Ira has some great points today:
Q: Wade acted so classless and he showed an immaturity I've never seen before from him. It is one thing is to argue with a coach or players, but another to show no heart and no desire to win. -- Julio.
A: Face it, if LeBron James had Wade's drama Thursday, he would be getting eviscerated. But because he has his ring, it's as if he has a lifetime free pass. Look, if Dwyane is injured, that's one thing. But a large measure of who Dwyane Wade is today (not six years ago) will be on display these next few days, particularly Sunday.
Q: Where is Pat Riley in all of this? -- Serge, Hallandale.
A: I would expect, in coming days, to be front and center, considering all we're now hearing about how Larry Bird has been counseling Pacers players during the course of this series, including Paul George. The hands-off time is over. The Dwyane Wade-Erik Spoelstra moment Thursday raises significant questions about a leadership void. Riley is with this team for a reason, and presumably traveling during this series for a reason. He can't fix this with personnel moves for the Heat's broken reserve rotation. It's too late for that. But he still can be Pat Riley. Forget about protocol with Spoelstra. This is a Riley moment right here. He won't be coaching Sunday, but he can help make a difference on Friday and Saturday.
