I agree with Kobe. Sometimes though he's a bit too selfish, and he has rings because he has had fantastic teams, so it's not really all about him. BUT...

Kobe isn't a person who has a twitter, I don't even know if he uses that facebook page he has. But doesn't care what the media says.

Now LeBron, he is very open to that sort of thing, and he does care what people say about him. You can just see it in LeBron's face when he's worried.

LeBron had a stretch where he missed like a few game winners in a row, and he said he'd never let down his teammates again.... but he did. LeBron should just walk the walk and not talk the talk. Most of the time I'd just be happy if LeBron even showed up in tough situations rather than not. Even if you missed a bunch of shots, in the end I'm happy you tried.

Kevin Durant always tries, he misses but he tries. It's the same with Kobe (numbers don't lie about Kobe, it's a myth he's super clutch, he makes late shots but it's like people think he doesn't miss).

LeBron this year took over games man, he's capable of it. Why he doesn't do it more? I don't know. Maybe because of Wade, or maybe because he's too much of a team player. Like in Game 3 I expected SOMEBODY to do something, but the game got out of hand and they just took the loss...

In Game 5 against Chicago, it was the same situation actually. We were down double digits, then we got stops and kept scoring. It looked like they gave up when they couldn't get stops.

Game 4 we'll see what they are made out of...

Lebron is Lebron. He has his own personality and way of approaching things. Constantly wanting him to be a clone of someone else is just dumb. There are many models of success not one.

This. Everybody has their own approach. At the end of the day, the results on the court matter. Let LeBron be LeBron.

Actually I guess Lebron did say something like this after the finals, and the media, rather than fawn over him like Kobe, demanded he appologize for it. Oh the histrionics on first take were powerful that day.

Anyways. If Kobe had a mindset like Lebron, he probably would have been able to co-exist with Shaq better, and they would have won 6 titles together.

this is all theatrics though. Lebron just needs to burst through and get the job done. As soon as he gets that first ring, I think it's going to mean a big shift in his confidence. It's just getting that first one before he starts to lose too much of his game.
