i think the bigger issue is the spacing on the floor with them out there together, and who should be where when, rather than any kind of individual thing. but theres no way this can be bad news.

I got hard when I read this.

Hopefully though Tyson doesn't get away from his efficient scoring & starts taking bad shots.

Amare needs this the most.
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

Spacing is probably why they are both going. Olajuwon coexisted with Ralph Sampson. (original NBA "Twin Towers" duo)

Even though I've seen this video multiple times I'm always amazed by how fluid and agile Hakeem still is. His footwork is absolutely perfect.

This is very good news. If I was an NBA big man I'd want to spend all the time Hakeem would be willing to give to learn from him.

I still think it was borderline crazy that Jordan didn't get some legit minutes last year.

Kind of strange no NY writers have picked up a story on this yet.

I'm hoping its true. And if it is I hope the sessions are together. Both stat and tyson. Tyson is a worker. So is stat but has been lacking.

One guy is defensive. One is offensive. Working with punk ass dream together should be beneficial. Would be a great learning and bonding experience all around.

Amare over his career has developed rather good footwork facing the basket, but he has no back to basket moves to speak of. One reason it's been hard for him is actually he isn't used to slide on bent knees for sustained time, which is needed for consistent good defense. So, it might indeed also a chance for him to improve his defense as a byproduct.

Tyson lacks basic feel for the situation of more than 5 feet away from basket with defenders nearby, or even closer than 5 feet.

Trained with him 2 years ago IIRC. Hakeem actually helped A LOT.

Dwight's been working with him for more than just one summer and his moves still look mechanical. I don't expect 5 years older Amare and Tyson to suddenly have a revelation. It can't hurt though.

It's amazing how Dwight still looks so mechanic after so many years working on the post up game with the whole team's offense depending on it. Al Jefferson and Randolf are naturals for back to basket moves. Not sure Amare could beat them on that by one summer class with Dream. But hope he could learn to back down smaller defenders to maximize his advantage area on offense.

Didn't help having Ewing on Dwight Howard...AND the dream.

Someone said it best, the Knicks biggest problem is ball distribution and spacing.

Wow.

EDIT: Yes, I'd still laugh if you had said catholic, jewish, buddhist, hindu or whatever. Being religious doesn't make a person any better or worse than anyone else.

That's your opinion. I won't laugh at it because I'm above that. No point in turning this into a completely off-topic debate, so we won't be going there. You can believe what you want, and I certainly don't have to agree.
