Draft 2012

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Tue May 22, 2012 9:59 pm

I'm seeing mock drafts with us taking Meyers Leonard with our trademark 14th pick. I would be very cool with that.

That said, I would be totally for the Rockets taking a flier on the plummetting Fab Melo at #16. Yeah, he could be Joey Dorsey all over again, but I say "#$%& it - swing for the fences, Daryl!"

just stay away from undersized centers. keep his homosexual alter ego in the closet on draft day, and go for the big black guys, or slashing swingmen, or a kevin martin trade

Leonard & Melo are both 7-footers, so no undersized player thing happening there.

Basically what I want (if we draft at these places and keep the picks) is a BPA pick - preferably a big man - and a "Most ridiculous upside available" type player with the other pick.

That or trade down with 16 and pick up an extra #2 pick - doesn't have to be this draft.

I like the guys who returned and showed great improvement in an area, shows hard work.

I would like Terrence Ross, of course Sully & and to buy a 2nd round pick and draft Jae F*ckin Crowder... dude is gonna be sick and an absolute steal where ever he goes.

Terrence Ross:
Matured alot in his 2nd year, played smarter, and really likes to battle. Our Martin replacement!

Draft workout:

Sully:
Under-appreciated athleticism, he a big boy, but gets up and blocks shoots his quick hands gets alots of steals and he catches everything with those soft hands.

Jae Crowder:
Great improvement, kid is a beast, every game I saw of his he just popped off the screen.
I can see a similar player to Metta World Peace. Crowder makes plays, beast defender, beast rebounder, beast shooter.

This video is lame but whatever....

If we get a sg I want someone who can dribble at least semi competently.

If we get a big I want someone who isn't undersized. Is that too much to ask?

But I really think we should trade the two picks anyhow.

We dont need our 2 guard to be a dribbler... we need him to be a scorer.
IMO all the SG this year are better than last years crop. That says a lot.

I mean who would you propose when trade these picks in such a beast draft for? Pau!?! smh

Also check draftexpress:
Guys under 6'9:
Okafor
Jefferson
Collison
Blake Griffin
Love
Horford
Favors
Millsap
Boozer(6'7.5)
Blair(6'5)

Just a few... seems like everbody is undersized...

Disagree because not only did we not have a low post score we also had no body to create his own perimeter shot. Relied to heavy on out PG to make shots for themselves and others

The lottery is May 30. Who do we send to represent us and bring us good luck?
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Ross
Rivers
Beal

can all get seperation and get their shoot off.. just dont think they are playmakers for others.

At least it gives you something to see, I doubt anyone is gonna go back and watch full game tapes... that sh*t isnt our job lol.

Also we have Lowry/Dragic, Parsons... 3 playmakers is enough what we need is a scorer/scorers thats what i wanna see drafted

Olajuwon or Yao Ming!!!

Clyde is that one guy who I idolized growing up in terms of athletes and now that im grown and he speaks for a living, I kinda feel like he lost a lot of his cool with his lame jokes, and awkward sayings...

parsons is gonna rep houston for the lottery i thought?
