Hibbery is S-O-F-T and not a very good scorer... On his best nights he's nothing more than a 3rd option...

Yes if you compare him with other guys.

But you can pay less than max to him if there's no one able to pay.

Since no one has cap space AND are searching for a Center, and considering he calls Indiana home, and Pacers are the closest to a contender able to sign him, I think Indiana can sign him for less.

You don't need to pay 15 when the best he can get out of Indiana is 12.

Makes me appreciate Gortats 15.5/10/1.5 (21.2 PER) on his $7M a year deal.

No way should Hibbert get a max deal. Not even close. But Indiana might be stuck giving it to him due to other teams that are desperate for a big man offering him a max deal.

Yeh he doesn't deserve the max but teams will offer him the max which consequently forces Pacers to match.

No, but he will get one. His length and shot-blocking are hard to find. I call him the softest 7'2" player in the league, but that's not saying much. He still makes a formidable wall in the paint and can hit the midrange. If he perfects his midrange and becomes more aggressive going to the rim, he'll be scary. His handle will never be that great, but his length if hard to beat. He should be getting it anytime he wants. The Pacers are a star scorer away from being scary. PEACE.
