Dana White confirmed it. Cruz blew his ACL. Huge blow for both TUF and the card they were supposed to fight on.

Michael McDonald or Renan Barao vs. Faber for the interim title makes a lot of sense. Not sure what the heck they do about TUF. Tito got bounced from the show after getting injured.

And now we can finally see Dana come through with a boxing match against a TUF coach!

Faber vs Dana, boxing match!!!

Anyways, in a weird way, I'm happier to see some new blood at 135 get a shot.
If Faber wins the title, it'll be such a joke.
Who else can lose title fights, win one fight after and then get a title shot almost every time after.
So, do they keep this as the Co for 148 in Vegas?

My guess is they bring Michael MacDonald in on short notice to coach team Cruz and fight Faber for the interim title. Similar to what they did with Rich Franklin when Tito got hurt.

Faber either trolling or serious, but R. Rousey may be involved in the injury....

This sounds to good to be true though.....

If there's a single benefit to the live format for me, it's that I get to bet on the fights. I made a parlay with Vick and Iaquinta, along with some fighters from 146. Hope they pull through tonight.

Turns out Vick's ground defense consists of curling up in fetal position. :nonono:

Did Chiesa win? I was shocked to see Vick as a favorite. His first win came off a knee that was meant to be a kick.

Yeah, Chiesa won. Vick won the first round and half of the second, then Cheisa took him down and he curled up. He didn't show anything in his first fight, but he showed the most improvement out of anyone after that IMO. Vick had a ton of confidence coming into this, couple that with Chiesa fighting with emotions and it seemed like a good pick.

I hope that Vick gets a UFC contract. He's so raw and has a lot of potential. Definitely needs to work on some combination of TDD, BJJ, sweeps, or just getting back up.

I met him after the fight last night, and it was strange. I'm 2 years younger than him but he kept on calling me 'Sir.'
