What can YOU do to get the #1 Pick?

Post#1 » by penbeast0 » Sat May 26, 2012 6:18 pm

Every year GMs try everything from lucky rabbit's feet (not so lucky for the rabbit) to sending their children so as to keep the karmic burden light. What lucky ritual could you do at home that you think might bring the magic ping pong ball to the team?

I forget who it was in the chat on lotto night who had a choice between shtupping the wife and watching the lotto and I said: "Wife! dude. If luck is a lady, you don't want to piss off the lady...".

Voila: we got John Wall. Clearly, whomever that was, he's got some scrumpin to do on lotto eve.

You'll never believe what I did to get this Klondike bar. I'd give it away to get the #1 pick!

Well, uh...yeah, I seem to remember that too. Something about moving up the same number of draft slots as some other number of events, but I could be wrong.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Heh, that's right it was Ben-jam wasn't it. Well hey, this year you only have one spot to jump. Er, so to speak.

I was standing in the GPS section of Best Buy when I got the news in 2010, I plan on standing in the exact same spot with the same outfit i was wearing that day. We're bringing this home fellas.

People on this board have seem to forgotten the certainty with which we absolutely knew that we would not get John Wall. Moving from 2 down to 5 in the Blake Griffin lottery, then trading Rubio for blah blah blah really left a bad taste in our mouth and we were deciding whether we wanted Aminu or Edke Udoh. I was entirely anti-lottery until my friends stated calling me so i turned it on to see us win Wall. If you believe in this stuff, then that has to be the what you do. or not do.

A lot of people on here seem to have a glimmer of hope, or even much more than that, and that is not good guys.

This isnt about expecting to lose so you wont be depressed, its about reality. So what will i do to help us win? I will be expecting **** Andre Drummond to be our guy while Detroit or Portland or some other team that people wouldnt be shocked to see compete for a ring wins Davis. I'm actually not even bitter about this, i still love the Wizards and the NBA. I think thats the best course of action.

If we win the lottery, the Washington Wizards will be championship contenders for as long as Davis plays. What? yea right. I hate the NBA sometimes.

2 more days until the fate of the Franchise is determined for all time!!!!

Well, OK, probably not that, but if we get Davis, the fate of the franchise should change substantially for the next 10 years or so...we hope...otherwise, no, just an ordinary disappointing draft in the history of the WIzards.

If you.. or anyone you know [hint hint], has cable, satellite, etc. they should have a login for WatchESPN / ESPN3.com which will stream the lotto tom. night.

That's the spirit! We may whup this thing yet...

Maybe we should organize an Official Wizards Scrump-out. Official motto: "We're gonna get screwed anyway, might as well have a good time..."

I can't remember what I was doing when the Wizards won the Wall lottery. Probably NOT watching. I expect to be doing the same tonight. Someone text me with the result.
