I bought BF3 today because it was on sale and i keep getting a "Unable to launch Battlefield 3. Please make sure this game is installed properly and try again." error when I go to launch it. Perusing the internet suggests that this issue has been around since its launch and no one has listed a solution. I have tried so much stuff already it's pissing me off. I want to just ask for my $30 back.

does your computer meet all the requirements to run the game? if you bought the game brand new there's probably something you're missing.

Yeah. I'm on with their support. It's a fairly well documented issue with no solution. Just assurances on the forums that they're working on it. I'm live chatting with Ankur right now. He no speak english well.


I even cleaned out the registry and reinstalled origin. It's such a **** application.

i'm glad i got rid of my copy of bf3 when i did tbh, a couple months later they came up with some bullsh*t rule where you have to pay to rent a server just to play the game online.

i'm not sure if it's the same way for pc though.

So even though I met the minimum requirements for the game, my video card doesn't have enough dedicated memory? How that works I have no idea. I'm just getting a refund and said **** it.

isn't that an optional premium thing? I'll just wait for CS: GO like I was planning. If I need to upgrade for that I will, but I doubt it. It looked nice in beta, but I doubt it's a hog like BF3.

you can either own a server or play on a server owned by other people. only problem with playing on someone else's server is that the owner of that server can kick you out anytime they please.

I guess that's more of an issue in games like BF3 where you need to complete the round to get the credit, but I grew up playing CS: Source where you get kicked all the time. I'm used to it.
