No. No. No. It's the exact opposite. Pay attention, please.

i'd rather have them miss on nice but totally unimportant rookie teams, than have them win ROY just to be out of the league in 2 years. Morrison wink wink
The question is will Kemba and Biz improve their game? Out of all the lottery picks the bobcats had only Hendo played better in his second season.

Not that I care, but I guess I must have missed what KG said for you to write that. I'm not offended, just curious as to the point of that post so I can better understand your dumb joke. And you're quickly fading fast to rookie of the year Hon-essim who already has reached legendary status on the Bobcats board.

He told Charlie Villanueva that he was a cancer to his team and to the league in a gamw.

I have never once expected you to understand anything.

Oh no! Battery doesn't like my posts! Whatsoever will I do!

Re: all rookie teams - NO KEMBA, NO BIZ
Gentlemen...please!
Neither Kemba nor Biz deserved a place on the 2nd team. Despite the evidence of promise within their body of work, their game is still severely under-developed. I'm sure they received some consideration for 2nd team, but the results of the season, and the way the games were so ugly, had to factor in. Face it, if they were so impactful, it would have resulted in more wins or closer games.
The NBA is a demanding league. I see both of these guys with potential, but I also feel both could just as easily be career reserves (good reserves, but backups nevertheless). Short of a last growth spurt, Biz will always be an undersized 5 who doesn't have the offense to play the 4. Kemba has a lot of tools, but he must find a reliable shot and refine his PG management (better passing, learn and control the offense, cut the turnovers).

Now you're just arguing that 2+2 = 6. Come on, get a clue. You're just going to pester me to death until I give up. It's called "Crunking."I refuse to be "crunked" in this situation because it is obvious if you go to the videotape, or if you actually stayed awake to watch some of Coach Roses post game interviews.
Maybe I wrong and gave too much credit towards your intelligence. I'm not arguing anything, I'm asking a question. Get a clue. The question is "Do you have any article, interview, etc. that explicitly states that the FOs intentions were to not play the rookies many minutes this year." because it sounds like you're confusing your own opinion with the FO's.
Please link me to "the video tape" or "Coach Roses post game interviews" because I can't seem to find it.
p.s. this is a serious question fats. If the Jordan/Higgins/Cho actually said what Battery is claiming, then I'd like to see it as it goes in clear opposition to what actually happened.

I was always under the impression that in order to get better in basketball than getting minutes was essential. Isn't like trying to "groom" an NFL QB or something like that.

yeah. maybe with an exception for point guards because their skills aren't always honed by makign mistakes because they might hold back to avoid the things that lead (but won't always lead) to mistakes instead of pushing forward to complete those kinds of plays. But that's just speculation at best

It depends on the player really. Some guys learn by watching and some by hands on. Kemba and Biz both struck me as hands-on learners so I was fine with throwing them in the fire, especially with the low expectations we had this year.

Any player needs minutes to get better, to gain experience, to apply their lessons during game conditions. The rookie's problems were exacerbated by the lack of training and preparation due to the lockout. That affected all rookies, and hurt teams that were adjusting to a number of new players. The Cats had it worse than many. However, the true test is now, during THIS offseason. Kemba and Biz will have plenty of time and quality instruction to hone their skills. Their sophomore season will likely indicate their true potential.

yeah. the only problem one could claim would be that kemba and biz were somehow damaged by playing minutes this past year, but i'm not buying it

thats 12 players. does it make it worse to know 7 people made 1st team and 5 on 2nd and STILL no kemba?
seems he finished 14th in voting.
You failed at counting. There are 11 players, not 12. 6 in the first team, not 5. Remember, it's okay to use your toes, or the other hand if you need it.

You failed at posting. He just forgot to type in Knight's name, but at least he knew how many players made the team. Remember, it's okay to use your brain if you have one.

You don't become the worst team in NBA history by having award-winning players. Neither came close to deserving it.
