Depends on the roster imo. Good coaches know how to maximize their talent.

I just hope it's not Jeff Bower

This is the best development of the off season yet (waiting for Dwight to stay/extend is next). Based on this Woj article, Weaver and Lindsey look seriously qualified with their respective well known FO's and are now my top two wishes for our GM role. I appreciate Bower's versatility as a coach/scout/GM, but I believe SA and OKC have easily taken place as the top two FO-run franchises in the league and theses guys were the right hand mans of those two franchises.

Indiana also has a ton of front office talent along with boston and LA

Without any background research and strictly off of Woj's article, I'm hoping for Weaver.

I am very happy to hear that we are going for the best of the best.

I'd love him to run the triangle, but I think this might come back to hurt us, considering that Dwight will likely want to win now, and implementing the triangle right off the bat will require a certain time of adjustment.

Gawd, I hope its not Jeff Bower.

The hiring of Jeff Bower would be a sign that this organization is going to keep treading the same path it has been.

I'm going to predict we hire Bower.

His name in the dunce cap threads will be "Blower."
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Troy Weaver looks like a good choice for a rebuild. He has not missed on a top 10 pick.
2005 pick 3 Deron Williams
2008 pick 4 Russell Westbrook
2009 pick 3 James Harden

He also seems to have an eye for NBA bigs.
2004 pick 14 Kris Humphries
2006 pick 47 Paul Milsap
2008 pick 24 Serge Ibaka

If we are able to start drafting this way, it would stop the Magic from having to overpay free agents to fill out our roster.

I disagree

Going down the same path would be promoting Foyle and moving Nick Anderson up. The fact that we are bringing in all these big names gives me hope that we are changing the process.

You're both correct

...and I don't want either scenarios to happen.

He was behind those guys?

If so, this should be easy......

6 draft picks that ended up being money. Very well done.

I just hope we get the right guy so that we can actually move forward with a positive attitude and forget about Otis's tenure. It still irks me that there were many on this board that basically worshiped that guy.

yes please hire the spurs guys so this franchise will finally invest in drafting and scouting. picks like vazquez, orton make us look like a joke.

in jersey they held a pre draft camp, guess what team wasnt there?

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Weaver would be an excellent pick up. I just read that he was the driving force behind the Thunder drafting Russell Westbrook. Westbrook is my favorite PG in the league, so that really impresses me.

Watch us offer Jeff Bower the job though. I wouldn't put it past the Magic.

Weaver has to be our top priority
