Yeah, I still haven't figured the controls out entirely. Some buttons never get pushed. Also, is there a way to call plays on the fly, like lick and rolls? Holding the button down is ridiculous. Oh, and Icon passing is sketchy, at best, especially inbounding the ball.

Killing tree, what is your average team mate grade? And unfortunately, macing a Stat or two doesn't bump up your overall. I think it comes down to supping your ability points that will help, but cost a butt load of Stat points to improve. Let me know how your negotiations go.

i still feel like i'm massively failing. my overall rating is 65 in my 2nd season but my shooting and passing is almost maxed out (??). i'm hoping for a breakthru season though and i'm curious to see what sort of negotiations happen once my rookie contract is up.

You also have to build up other factors such as your consistency and such. It takes bout 4 seasons before you start becoming unstoppable in the game. I maxed out my 3 point shot, my stamina, speed, and my offensive clutch. Now a good majority of the time, I will hit the game winner or hit the clutch shot to secure the game.

i really like that you have to invest multiple seasons to be an allstar. that's so cool. i actually have 2 myplayer guys. 1 on the suns (rating 65 and gets subbed in as a SG always, even though i'm a PG) and 1 that got drafted with the knicks (rating 63 but is subbed in at PG always, lol).

the knicks team is fun because you can obviously recreate the nash/stoudemire pick n roll offense and it's even better having tyson chandler there. i think this myplayer is going to be the one i try to perfect since i'm only at christmas in my 1st season and we're #3 in the east (behind chicago and miami). the detail on this game is ridiculous. i've bumped up my quarters to a full 12 minutes since you get subbed out and i'm putting up pretty realistic numbers for a rookie, imo. i play about 20 mins and am avg 11ppg and 4 assists with .5 block/steal.

bringindaruckus: if you tap L1 once, quickly, you'll get icons above the guys and you press and hold the guy you want to pick and roll or pick and pop. let the button go before the player gets to you for a pick and roll. this works well if you're trying to get a 3 shooter open.

another thing that helped my overall shooting percentage was buying the s.curry jumpshot. something about the release made me go from making 20% of my shots to 70%, instantly, even though i had good releases on my shots.

like i said earlier, i really just want to rush thru the seasons so i can get to a contract negotiation.

I just made my first purchase as a player. I bought the Ray Allen jumpshot(figured since he is the best pure shooter in league in real life) and it has helped big time with my J's.

lol, so i finished my 1st season with the knicks and in the off season the suns made a huge move and landed chris paul. nash got traded to dallas and the suns got david west and delonte west (lol). also, they were able to grab landry fields from the knicks. the knicks in the offseason were able to deftly steal vince carter and shannon brown. lol. oh well. i requested a trade and didn't get it, so we'll see.

still, something about my personal game is off. i'm now averaging 25ppg, 11asts, 4 rebounds, etc and the knicks so far are 3-8. i can't tell if it's just the way that d'antoni's teams are built (possible) or the way i'm playing. my team just flat out refuses to play defense and quite honestly amare pisses me off more than he did when he was in phoenix. my gf keeps saying "if it makes you so mad why do you play it?".

Been playing this again lately in the Create-a-Legend mode with Jeremy Lin that I started back during Linsanity. But... About to quit because the trades are effing ridiculous. We were in first place and now we're trading everybody good for weird pieces, and the worst part that only two other teams have even made any trades.

1st trade on 11/13:
J.R. Smith/Iman Shumpert for Roy Hibbert/Lance Stevenson

Like having Hibbert, sort of, but made no sense with Chandler. And losing Shumpert is just dumb.

2nd trade on 12/13:
Tyson Chandler/2013 2nd round pick for Paul Pierce

SMH.

3rd trade on 12/21:
Carmelo Anthony/Bill Walker for LaMarcus Aldridge/Jamal Crawford

I actually don't mind this trade, but still... Getting ridiculous. No team chemistry anymore.

4th trade on 1/6:
Baron Davis for Marreese Speights/2012 2nd round pick

Seriously... WTF.

THEN 2 days later (the game I just finished playing), I notice Stoudemire is missing from the starting line-up....

5th trade on 1/8:
Amare Stoudemire/Toney Douglas for Caron Butler/Mo Williams.

This trade is ridiculous and makes me not want to play anymore.

And for some reason it gave me DNQs for most of the league leader stats. I was first in scoring and second in assists and now I have DNQs there. Totally frustrating. Anyway... just wanted to vent, I guess... Wish there was a way to shut off trades in this mode.

2K12? 2K11 all the way.

Started with the usual 2K11 Suns outfit, Nash J-Rich, Hedo, Childress.... Pulled off the Magic Gortat trade with Trade override.... and dumped a few bad contracts. Picked up David West to pair with Gortat and we made the playoffs..WCF exit, but due to a trade, managed to get 2 picks in the draft, a SF at 13th and a PG and 22nd. Signed Jason Thompson and let West go.

2nd Season: Had a whole bunch of expiring contracts and we made the playoffs again. Got knocked out 2nd round... and decided to rebuild since Nash left. Used the cap space to sign Gallinari and Evan Turner. Signed Raymond Felton to a one year deal. Drafted 22nd, L. Stallworth. Huge SG, with amazing scoring ability. Projected lottery that fell!

3rd Season: Great season. We finished Top of the West, with Danillo and Evan playing like all-stars. PG rotation of my rookie and Felton working really well. Made a mid season trade with my unhappy 13th pick from a draft 2 years ago for Mbah A Moute, and Earl Clark, shored up my defence. Made the NBA finals but got swept by the Nets and Melo. Drafted 21st overall, 7'0 Center, Clark Meyer. Signed Okafor for a season.

4th Season: Landed John Wall in free Agency! Clark Meyer playing like a defensive monster, and Mbah a Moute playing awesome too. John Wall wins MVP, and the Suns win the NBA Championship, beating the Heat in 6.

5th Season: Currently in the NBA Finals again, but some decisions will have to be made about re-signing certain players. Down 2-1, with game 4 at home.

do you have all the updates installed? i thought they fixed that problem since i've never had crazy trades in any of my games (my player). i've been trying to get my guy (6'7 PG) to make the hall of fame (8/10 so far) and i decided i would spend 1 season with a different team (until i get a max contract). drafted by utah with the #12 pick, swept in 1st round of the playoffs. 2nd season w/the lakers (lol blasphemy i know) because i wanted to win (which i did). 3rd season with the knicks, fought back from a 0-3 series in the 2nd round to win only to lose in the next round vs the bulls. nothing i could do would get the knicks to play defense.

now, this is where everything got pretty interesting. it's my 4th year and a lot of max players contracts were up. lebron/bosh/melo/stat/etc so contract negotiations were pretty sparse. i was only getting a max deal of $14mil a year so i kept signing w/the best deal and reloading the negotiations save file (3xs actually) and the knicks offered me a 1yr deal for $3mil. i took it so i would have time to boost my stats and try for a max deal. anyways, in all 3 scenarios LEBRON went to the suns (Lin was already there), melo went to utah and bosh went to new orleans. everyone else resigned with what teams they were on. anyways, since the pacers had offered me a good package in negotiations i requested a trade to them (since the knicks got immensely worse when melo left). the pacers were/are still a good team with most of the current core still in tact. they kept putting me in as SG and there was nothing i could do to knock collison out so i requested a trade after about 15 or so games (even though we had only lost 1 game).

i got traded to the suns. pacers sent me and danny granger for lin / and someone else (i forget atm). suns starting 5:

we have a cap room of $7.5mil and since i've been here we haven't lost a game and are currently #1 seeded in the west. i played last season on hall of fame difficulty and it was stupidly disgusting since it just makes your teammates worse so i'm back on pro or w/e the default is so i can boost my stats for a max contract (trying to get that achievement!).

24.6 ppg, 4rpg, 8.1 apg, 3.8 spg, .9 bpg, 50% fg, 33% 3pt.

i pass 1st and shoot 2nd (as a general strategy) but always, always, take the open shot. for whatever reason this season my turnovers have skyrocketed from about 2 a game to 8-12! so, idk. the game cheats a lot but w/e. it's weird because games will be close and then i go on a huge run and then coast the rest of the way. i'm hoping the suns have some room to give me a huge contract, but that's a ways away since i'm just approaching the all star break. otherwise idk what i'm going to do. also, i play every game (except for the season with the knicks because the defense was so terrible i wanted to break my tv).

When I play association I always sign Greg Oden because he has 3 star trade value. It's great for picking up another piece.

online associations are what makes this game so sick. 30 people all drafting their own teams then ideally playing through the whole season and playoffs. next invite to a league ill post the info here, it really does make the game soooo much more interesting
