As a side on trades, I don't plan to involve myself with what teams do often, but trades do need to be somewhat fair. I will veto trades that are really skewed towards one side (LeBron James for two 2nd rounders for instance/Lance Stephenson for the #1 pick). It would be very easy for someone to sign up on realgm twice, claim two different teams (or more) and sabotage the draft. Nothing I can do to stop that other then listening to the other gm's when they think a trade is really unfair.

I'll open up trading as soon as the lottery is over--so tipoff of the Celtics-Heat game 2, if people really wanted to do so. GM's can just post their trades here (all parties involved and I'll update the board). Will try to get as many teams filled as I can by then, but obviously if a team isn't claimed they can't be involved in trades. If a team isn't claimed by a GM or they don't get in their pick by the assigned time, I'll have to use DraftExpress's big board to pick for them.

Thanks everyone that signed up!

Are these ball boys the same person?

Are we starting the actual draft straight after the lottery with the trades?

You should post on the teams message boards that haven't signed up for this yet.

I hope so, so that when my Cavs win the lottery I wont have to think when I make my first pick. :D

Hah, hopefully not.

Was planning on starting the draft later, just to give people more time to pick/fill out the roster.

Have started posting messages on unclaimed teams; if I can get the spots mainly filled, can start it earlier

UPDATE: Unless there's opposition, will plan to start the draft tomorrow night after the lotto. We only have ten spots open. Haven't had much success on the team boards.. either no response or more of a preference to have it be decided via poll. As such, I made a second draft order which would just be what the team boards poll decided was their pick.

If the draft flows good and people aren't private messaging me picks, or their top 3, I can take the Nuggets at #20. If so, there's only 9 spots open. Imagine we'll have 4-5 spots unclaimed tho.

In such a situation, should we just use draft express's or nba draft's big board to decide picks? That wouldn't take into account team needs tho. Could just let a team poll decide the pick and update both mocks accordingly.

I don't plan to make deadlines for picks if it's flowing good. If people aren't picking tho, I'll have to set 24 hour limits for lotto picks and 12 hour limits for the rest of the draft. Starting it early, gives more time for people to make picks as well.

Let me know if there's any suggestions on how to do this

So can we make trades to move up or out?

If so, I could see Philly putting Iguodala or Turner on the market for the right deal.

Yeah, you can move up or out of the draft. Just post your trade ideas, and see if other people respond or of course you could private message users that have players you like and propose a deal. If a deal is agreed to, just post them here.

Thanks for everyone that signed up too

Unibrow for me

10th pick is available for a trade in a package for a young PG, probably with Rockets or Celtics
anyone else but Gordon available as a filler/sweetener, main piece
