Not bad but Westbrook and Perkins aren't winning WITH Durant AND Harden. What would they do in Orlando?

So you expect us to trade Howard and become better than the Thunder?

Point being that they make a ton of money and we wouldn't have much flexibility to add anything better than (or close to, for that matter) Harden/Durant/Ibaka. I would take Westbrook but don't want Perkins because of his contract.

I can imagine Westbrook will be traded this summer for an upgrade to their front court. Thunder need a low post scorer and a PG who will just get the ball to Durant and Harden.

i got bashed to hell when i said parker was a much better point guard than jameer nelson, those people also said jameer was a top 8-10 pg, when i was claiming he was 17-21, good times

Well, there was a time when Jameer was quite good. Besides, the Spurs have been making very nice use of screens. The Magic have done that to an extent, but they don't have the depth, and no Dwight has hurt their star power.
Remember when Kobe elbowed Jameer in the chin so hard Jameer was knocked down and sent skidding across the floor?

i still have this nagging feeling westbrook will be traded for josh smith and jeff teague, just so OKC can resign harden next summer, and let josh smith walk. but you can see that westbrook, durant and harden can't be on the same team. they don't pass (last in nba in assists), they all need the ball to be really effective, and relying on free throws.

westbrook on his own team would definitely sell tickets and he'd average 30 points a game but be stuck at .500 ball forever.

I actually don't think Westbrook, Harden, and Durant can't co-exist. I just think they've ran into a very good team who is clicking on all cylinders. This Spurs team is playing some of the best basketball I've ever seen. I'd be very careful if I were OKC in dealing Westbrook. If OKC really wanted to trade him, I'd consider trading him for Rondo. Rondo will definitely get Harden and KD the ball, but I think Westbrook's ceiling is so much higher. They'd still need some low-post scoring too.

Looking at the Nets payroll, they actually can't do a draft day trade for Dwight. In fact, it would be very difficult for them to facilitate a trade period because Bropez and Gerald Wallace's contracts are up and would need to be signed and traded here to make the numbers work. The new, intelligent Magic GM wouldn't waste money on those two guys. I think the Nets might just try to sell Deron on playing with a top lotto talent while using the money that would go to Dwight on complementary pieces instead.

I'd be all for a S&T James Harden + Kendrick Perkins for Dwight Howard.

I mean, that'd be the brunt of it but could easily expand the deal with a S&T Ryno + 1st for Ibaka with Howard going over there.

At this point, i've got a man crush on James Harden and would easily be a very good #2 option on ANY team, especially the Magic. Start off fresh with 3 solid pieces if Dwight trade is inevitable.

Forget trading Dwight. We'd have the cap space to get Harden on an offer sheet, can even be a max I'm thinking because of the way he can do it all, get to the FT line 10+ times in playoff games, shoot 3's, drive, pass. He'd be restricted but maybe a front loaded, max type deal gets OKC not to match. Or a S/T/trade where we give OKC one of our SG's (Liggins, J Rich, JJ even?) with a 1st rounder for Harden?

That Duhon stuff is probably someone hacking his twitter. If not epic fail. God he is so terrible...anyways....

....if the Nets win the draft lottery later today I will do a back flip of my house
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

also...100% co-sign..Harden let loose on our team is the perfect compliment to Dwight and what this team needs someone who can average 20 by getting his own shot.

I just got a text from my friend that Duhon was launching his Twitter tirade from a bar on Wallstreet.

He said he's completely obliterated.
