Why didn't he score more than 13.5 points in college then? Anthony Davis scored more than that and he doesn't even have a jump shot.

Durant scores 29 points as a freshman. You think Jones is anywhere near that good?
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

Young also is likely never going to be a full time starter because of his inability to truly defend a position, and in the last two seasons he has come up lame in the postseason because he's been worn down from defending the 4 all year. I just was at the Sixers exit interviews Sunday when Collins specifically talked about Thad needing to add about 10 pounds of muscle.

At least Thad bangs down low. Jones just floats around the perimeter. He doesn't want to be a 4. He wants to be Tracy McGrady.

Dude has Anthony Randolph written all over him.

Irving as the PG, Scott to push him, forced to be the top offensive options, can play the 3

I think they would take him, but he probably won't be there at 24.

If Thaddeus Young added two inches and 15 pounds to his frame today then he'd Perry Jones III. Oh yeah, that is until you realize he still wouldn't have Perry's jumping or shooting ability.

It's a shame Perry Jones doesn't use the gifts he has. What good is that body and athleticism if all he wants to do is float around the perimeter and take long 2's?

If they really like him they can trade down from 3ish to later in the top 10.

Maybe 3 + Varejo for 8 + Derozan?
I don't know something like that

I hope Toronto is also including an top 3 protected 2013 1st, because the value in that deal is askew.

New Orleans can kick their rebuild off right by taking Jones and Marshal. Perfect situation with their coach and need for talent.

I've got this combo going to Portland if the Trailblazers get the Nets top 3 protected pick.

Cavs don't have the balls to draft Perry Jones III.

Perry Jones in the right situation will succeed.

He needs to be pushed which is kind of a weird thing to say about an potential top-5 draft pick but if it works, then does it really matter?

They had the balls to take Tristan Thompson at 4. Its pretty clear they will take whoever they think is the best player by their board, not anyone elses.

I can see some Rudy Gay potential in PJIII, he needs to develop a consistent jumper, but aside from that hes got the rest.

Is Jones better than Ariza or Aminu?

They should go Drummond and Lilliard/Marshal
