He is barely above .300 OBP for his career. He beats Thames career OBP by .001.
He is better defensively, but I'd keep Snider down a while longer to give him more time to develop. We can't keep jerking him around, if he comes up it needs to be permanent.
I'm all for Snider coming up but the timing is wrong. He's cooled off a lot in Vegas and he is struggling against LHP. We need him but why make him a worse player by calling him up now, hes still got things to learn in AAA.
Thames is 25, Snider was 20-22 when he was playing in the majors. He already spent enough time in AAA against junk pitchers. It's time to bring him up when he gets back from the wrist injury.
