Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXIV: Offseason Edition)
Does anyone know that if we decided to hire Weaver, would we have to wait until his team is out of the playoffs or can we announce that we're going to hire him and let him finish with his team until they're knocked out.
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)

Give me Blake, Bledsoe, and a resigned Nick Young for Dwight and I'd be pretty damn happy
Get a third team involved and send out Turk to LA while the Clips trade Jordan to the 3rd team and find a way to get another young piece or pick and I'd be ecstatic!

man. I wish Duhon would kill himself. We can get a trade exception or something out of it, wouldn't bother me at all. Thats how bad I want him gone.. Or maybe he is following Arenas' route to try and get him out of this team now that SVG and Otis is gone.

I'm not a fan of this either. I don't like Duhon as a basketball player, but he doesn't deserve the harassment. He shouldn't be responding, but still does not make it ok to really go after the guy. He has not personally done a thing to any of you. And honestly, how many more games would Orlando have won if he hadn't got minutes? Would we still be in the playoffs?

Not even close to cool or funny bro. This is some dumb a** sh** right here. Next time you think its a good idea to have a thought, dont. Just let it go, cause its probably just as ignorant as this last one

Sources: Getting Anthony Davis won't be enough for the Nets to hold onto Deron Williams
All-Star point guard Deron Williams has made one decision about his free agency: If the Brooklyn Nets win the No. 1 pick in the NBA's draft lottery on Wednesday night – and the chance to secure Kentucky center Anthony Davis – it won't be enough for Williams to sign a contract extension, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
"It's Dwight Howard or bust," said a league source who has spoken to Williams.

Y! Sources: Winning the lottery won't keep Deron Williams a Net -- unless Anthony Davis is flipped for Dwight Howard.
So if they win it they will almost certainly try to trade it for Dwight, which is good for us as it gives us leverage.. Howard signs ? GREAT ! He doesn't ? No problem, here, take the Unibrow
But you know, all what's left is for them to actually win the lottery

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXIV: Offseason Edition
From that article:
Welp.
For the Nets to beat the odds and get the rights to draft Davis, they believe that they'll be able to hold onto forward Brook Lopez in a potential deal with Orlando. Howard regrets forgoing his early termination option on his 2012-13 contract, sources said, and wants a trade before next season. Nevertheless, the Nets become far less appealing should Williams leave in July as a free agent, so Howard's camp is applying pressure on Orlando to expedite a deal once it hires a new general manager.
Welp.

That's the only thing I read in the article. Everything else is irrelevant.

Well, we would get a huge leverage if Deron demands it.

Wow. What have you done to grant you the ability to wish death upon another person? If Duhon killed himself many would mourn (yeah I know, surprising), if you killed yourself only your family would be at your funeral. And all they would have to say on what you accomplished in life is "he spent way too much time on realgm...20000 posts
To those who personally harassed Duhon: As scrubtastic as I think Duhon is, thank you for embarrassing our franchise's fanbase by making it personal. Questioning his basketball talent? I guess you guys forgot that he gets paid MILLIONS to play a game you WATCH.
You may think you "owned" him or whatever, but I'm pretty sure when he wakes up tomorrow in his mansion and drives his lamborghini to work and you drive your old beat up toyota to work he is laughing about being "owned".
Personally harassing our own players over the internet...wishing death (I thought we were above the Lakers fanbase)....truly a disgrace.

When Dwight Howard waived his ETO, for the first time this season he looked relieved and at peace. Otis Smith said Dwight was ready to sign his ETO the moment he got off the plane from the game against SA but he told him to sleep on it and when Dwight signed it that day, he was at ease. He sat and said he prayed to God and felt he needed to be here.
If anything changed it would have been what transpired between him and Stan the few weeks after. But I'll say this, I don't trust any "sources" this season. But if it's true and he truly wants a trade, I hope he goes because this is ridiculous. If this is true, I cannot understand how someone who is now an a vulnerable position with his back injury still can't understand to humble himself. No player is worth going through all of this if that player do not want to be here. I hope he has a great career whether here or elsewhere but I'm truly done with this.
I am extremely sick of these players believing that they are owed the world from a team that truly wants them here.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.-John 3:16
