2012 NBA Lottery

When and where will the 2012 NBA Draft Lottery take place?
The 2012 NBA Draft Lottery, where ping-pong balls supplant basketballs as the tools of determining supremacy, will be held on Wednesday, May 30, at the Disney/ABC’s Times Square Studios in New York City. The 28th annual edition of the NBA Draft Lottery will determine the order of selection for the first 14 picks of the 2012 NBA Draft. Warriors General Manager Bob Myers will act as the team's representative at the Lottery.

We already lost the coin toss.

We're waiting for the lotto now, which is on May 30th.

If any of the 8th-14th picks MOVES INTO THE TOP THREE (like the Jazz did with Enes Kanter), the Warrior's pick will shift from 7 to 8, thus coming to Utah.

I see this as a very important lottery for the Jazz not so much that the player the Jazz would draft would be that helpful, but it gives the Jazz an asset with extremely high trade value. Teams are really over valuing draft picks right now and its a good time to trade them for quality talent.

Well, I'm looking forward to it.

I have a bottle of champagne for if our pick gets bumped down a spot, and a 9mm in case it doesn't and I need to kill myself.

I have a sinking feeling about this. The soothsayer in me says that someone from 8-14 will jump into the top three, but that Golden State will also.

If Golden State wins the lotto, I'll freak the #$%& out.

That would be just too awful.

Noonan....noonan.......

Golden State has buzzard luck with the draft.....we have a chance.

Remember.......we hit it big time last year to get the #3 pick. We are on a winning streak in the Lottery.

Good Luck Jazz.

Everyday KOC makes the Williams trade look better and better. If they get get a lucky bounce tomorrow evening KOC might have the best ROI in any other trade in NBA history for a single player.(asset wise)

NJ/B:
Deron Williams

Utah :
Devin Harris
Derrick Favors
Enes Kantner
8+ pick (hopefully 8)
3 million cash

We aren't getting the pick, it was lost when Golden State decided to tank the season away. But it's just another opportunity for them to draft another Ike Diogu or Patrick O'Bryant. That's how I see it. Jazz are in much better shape than Golden State regardless.

Our probability of getting the pick is roughly the same as the probability that Alec Burks would miss a free throw in the regular season.

That makes it seem like a much more realistic possibility...

My expectation are really low... GS is getting a top 3 pick

If we get the eighth pick, i wont ever cuss again.
