if Beal keeps moving up we won't get him. He's already projected to go top 5. We need his stock to freefall

Fixed. I see Simmons and Ford in their podcast picked Beal for #3. My guy T-Rob was #4.

Beal's not gonna "freefall", unless he doesn't measure out.

I think he's over-hyped.

Love his game, but scared that he doesn't have the wingspan or freak athleticism to be an elite in the league.

He'll be a good player, but not an elite level guy, which I think is something a top 3 should be.

i know he won't freefall but it would need to if we're gonna have a chance at getting him.

cant agree with you there man, you're looking at a guy who flat out shoot and shoot with the purest of forms.

A lights out jump shooter and jump shooters always have a spot in the league. In the future he's gonna be compared to the best shooters ever like Ray Allen, Reggie miller, Larry Bird. All those guys weren't freakishly athletic and all had a sweet sweet stroke.

Not only is a jumpshot gonna get you to the spotlight it lengthens ur career cuz ur not gonna have ur athletics when ur 35 but you will always have ur jump shot.

That's why Lebron, Wade, Derrick Rose, and Blake Griffin will never be as dominant as Kobe at age 35 cuz they are not jump shooters. They rely too much on their athletic ability and sooner or later when the injury bug bites they will never be the same. Kobe and Jordan have been able to dominate cuz they have a steady mid range game. That's why ray Allen is still a commodity. That's why Tim Duncan is still winning cuz of that sweet bank shot. That's why Shaq never stayed dominant at Duncan's age cuz his legs just didn't have the power any more.

Beal is athletic and quick enuff to get to his sweet spot. Dribble quick step and pull up. #Money

I remember this being said about Harden as well and now everyone and their dogs want him on this team.

Not an elite level, and I am surprised he is top 3, but his basketball IQ really stands out more than his jump shot.

I don't see outstanding difference between Beal, Barnes, MKG and Lamp at the wing. They all have their shot comings, therefore for not being the clear cut number 2 nor 3 after Davis.

I think Beal is kind of the sure fire safe pick. You know you'll get a productive player with him. I really can't see him being a bust. Then again, Evan Turner was the same deal and he's still adjusting to the NBA game.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Every other year, a very accomplished college player get's overlooked because of some trivial short comings.

Remember when people thought Harden wouldn't pan out? It's true you can't teach length, but it is equally true that you can't teach ambition, IQ or natural talent.

The only way we get this guy is with the #2 pick in the draft.

all you need to see in this video is how smooth that jump shot looks. Purest form you ever seen, seriously Ray allen like.

That alone is why he'll be in the league a long time.

I like Beal, but I disagree about his jumper. It's certainly not the "purest form you ever seen". Actually, I think Terrence Ross has a more effortless and pure form than Beal, and according to scouts he literally isn't missing many shots at all during workouts, which all highlight mixes would have you believe.

I like Beal, but I keep seeing Randy Foye.

For those that don’t remember, Foye was also a very good shooter and scorer in college, and a combo-guard that is undersized for the 2. Foye wasn’t too terrible of an athlete either.

I hope Beal can translate better in the NBA.

Agreed. Ross has the better form. But at the end of the day, as long as it works. Just look at Peja and Reggie.

If you watched Bradley Beal play, then you would know he doesn't have a pedestrian wingspan. It's really getting tiresome with all this Beal is undersized crap when he has shown otherwise. His arms look like they're hanging down to his knee, maybe slightly above, but you get the idea. Also, the commentators during live broadcasts were always talking about his long arms and it's effect on him as a dominant wing defender how he would shrink and clog passing lanes by always having his arms up laterally and generate deflections with his active hands. He averaged 1.4 steals per game while managing to only pick up 2.1 personal fouls per game which means he avoids making contact on the steal attempt and being whistled for the foul largely due to his long arms. Furthermore, he's always getting his hands on loose balls flying off of the rim when after a shot. He wouldn't be rebounding over players that he's giving up 5-inches against with short arms. If you're a Guard, and you're getting your hands on the basketball a lot it's because you have longs arms being able to get to the spot and ball quicker than the opponent and snaring down rebounds without being in an ideal position. And he gets those chasedown blocks a la LeBron James once or twice every game. Good athleticism and long arms are a contributing factor.

As for his athleticism, no, he isn't a freak athlete in the mold of Dwyane Wade or Russell Westbrook that can jump out of the building with their off-the-charts hops. But why does that matter? I believe the same thing was said about James Harden, but that hasn't stopped him from getting into the paint and drawing fouls left and right with his array of footwork and ball-handling. Beal has demonstrated to be just like that with tremendous body control, changing angles or directions within the blink of an eye and the hang time. Just watch when Beal is airborne as he rockets up for a lay-up or rebound, he literally hangs in the air for a couple of seconds before coming back down to the floor. I understand why some might not think Beal isn't athletic because his form of athleticism isn't sexy to the eye, but he is athletic in a different type of form.

Please, you're comparing a freshman to a senior.
