Good luck to us tomorrow; honestly I would just be happy with staying at #5. How long has it been since we actually ended up with the pick we were SUPPOSED to get?

I hope we manage to stay at #5 as well! EVERY TIME we FALL down beyond where we are slated from. I have a feeling we are going to break that curse and move up for ONCE!

Long time no post.

Figured I would stop by and see what's up before the lottery tonight. Hoping to see a top 3, and potential Michael K.G pick come draft day. I'm ready for a top pick this year!

Since this may potentially by the last year this team stays here, I see us getting the 1....

F*** it, I'm holding out hope for #1. Davis is a better fit for us than anybody in the whole damn league. It's only right.

2007- 8th worst record. Lose tiebreaking coin flip and pick 10th
2009- League's worst record. Lose in the lottery and pick 4th.
2010- 3rd worst record. Lose in the lottery and pick 5th
2011- 5th worst record. Lose in the lottery and pick 7th.

The lotto is like that hot chick who flirts with you but leaves you \with a raging boner at the end of the night for someone else. Every year you say "I'm gonna bang her" and every year the same story.

I also feel like we're going to get the #3 pick, but I would be happy with staying at #5 and just drafting BPA.

I've been a Kings fans since 1985 as a little kid. Every year I hope we win the lottery and every year I'm disappointed. Please let this be the year that we're all jumping for joy.

If anyone saw the Bee today...

Kings coach Keith Smart said he and Petrie are on the same page.
"We like guys who are going to think the game," Smart said. "You want guys who can shoot the basketball. You want guys who are going to play hard, guys who are going to defend. What players are there who can do those things and be a basketball player, not a one-dimensional player?"

Read more here: http://www.sacbee.com/2012/05/30/452453 ... rylink=cpy

With that said...I'd think the Kings value the draft prospects as follows:

#1 Anthony Davis
#2 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
#3 Thomas Robinson
#4 Bradley Beal
#5 Harrison Barnes

I can't see Andre Drummond being considered. He's too much of a project, he can't shoot, and he floats.

I mean, 2 or 3 would certainly be nicer than 5, and much nicer than 6 or 7, but I'm going to be thinking trade if it's anything but Frida Kahlo in that Kings jersey.

I'm with ICMTM we always go through this and never get the better end of the stick!

It's always 3 secs left Kings down by 2. Kings inbounding the ball.....

*Jerry's voice* Okay, folks here's another nail bitter... Donte Greene inbounds the ball. Great defense..Kings having all kinds of trouble getting the ball in. No more time outs (4 secs) Donte inbounds finally to............... :O Jabari Smith?? He dribbles he shoots from the arrrrrcccc.......

We are screwed - I'm calling pick #7. Kings have no luck when it comes to the lottery.
