Great thorough an in depth understanding of the game and what Anthony Davis can be at the next level. Makes me question the disparaging remarks I've made about him as a player at the next level. Unfortunately what I saw before still stands in my obviously totally uneducated opinion, there is just something about him that totally scares me in comparison to what others have said about absolute no doubt sure fire #1 picks we have had in the past. When I compare him to the other 4-5 other guys who have had that tag over the last 20 year I just can't see AD becoming what they did.

Yeah, the thing is that as much as we like to pretend, in this day and age without the Shaq and Duncan types who not only have legendary talent but play long enough in college to develop, NOBODY is a guarantee. I mean I'll admit, John Wall and Michael Beasley both looked like stone cold locks to me and players where the question would be "Will they be Carmelo as a statistically superior tier 2, or Dwyane Wade as an MVP caliber player" and they've been wildly disappointing. I would've bet almost anything on Wall being at least a "Chris Bosh franchise player". Once upon a time Glenn Robinson had prospect of the decade type of hype, enough to get a 10 year superstar contract before he played a game, then it fell apart.

With Davis though. I have to say I'm convinced that his floor is impact starter. I just can't imagine his floor being any lower than something between Camby and Ibaka as a high block player who can finish some plays offensively. And that means he'll help a team in some form no matter what. Though the thing that I changed my opinion on most after doing the above video is that he really does have offensive potential. He has a decent chance of having the Bosh cloned "First step to the basket o rly you play off me I'll take an open jumper" bread and butter and his post moves are fine. Believe it or not Davis' post moves were more advanced than Sullinger's in my other video. Sullinger was all about his power and touch making him a ridiculous finisher from whatever shot he took in the post. Davis was more spin-y and tricky in his moves and just lacked the thing Sullinger was best at (finishing his shots). Davis' post moves after 4 years in college may very well have looked like a young Duncan and Hakeem for all we know
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

There's a 0.035% chance he falls to 8th.

I'm happy for the kid ending up in New Orleans. He's got a solid coach, and teammates who play hard. It's not a ****show like the Bobcats or Wizards.

i think we could still offer pieces to acquire the first pick...we have quite a few upgrades for their current roster (a.b., e.d., j.c., j.j, a.j and don't forget that 8th pick which still keeps them in the lottery)

Good Luck with that..

I feel sick after going to the Hornets Board. You would think it would be a bit more lively in there after winning Anthony Davis.

Oh and apparently it could very well have been the Cavs winning #1 again as there was a coin flip between NO/Cle after the season ended.

Better the Hornets than the Cavs for sure!

Silver lining, I suppose..
