I wonder if that Gerald Wallace guy added a couple of senseless wins?

That's the main thing right there. You can make an argument that to a win now team GW is worth more than the 6th pick. But when you're 1 win ahead of the team that wins the lottery............... shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Only if you were realistically in the playoff hunt...but we weren't. It's stupid all around. Look, Brook healthy? Deron healthy? Yeah, OK, I can MAAAAAAAYBE see the reasoning, since a healthy line-up has a chance at playing spoiler. But without Brook? Even if we made the playoffs, it wouldn't matter, because our frontcourt is so terrible that we'd get destroyed because we can't protect the basket and we can't score in the paint.

If you look at the definition of "short-sighted" in the dictionary, it will have the picture of this trade in it.

Top 5 worst trade in NBA history quite literally, maybe 3rd worst ever behind the Baron Davis to the Cavs trade and Vince Carter to New Jersey.

Yeh so Davis decides to drive around wearing this cap a while ago, yeh sure the lottery isn't fixed.

So the Hornets can't find an owner and then out of the blue an owner is found, the 2014 all star game is anounced for New Orleans and what do you know, the 1st overall pick goes to NO. Yeh sure the NBA don't fix the lottery at all

I never expected us to keep our pick. Sucks, but oh well. Prokhorov should hold an NBA lottery on the Nets Board for King's job.

He probably would, but unfortunately, all ping-pong balls have been traded by King for ping-pong racket. What King planned on doing with the racket without any ping-pong balls, nobody really knows.

I don't know why I am tripping. I knew this would happen- but I convinced myself the ball would finally bounce this way. Looking at the brighter side of things AK-47 will be in a Nets uni soon. YAY!

Now I am going to need to prep myself for a long drawn out summer......Yawn

Funny, we ship our pick unprotected to Utah we jump from 6 to 3.

We ship our pick top 3 protected to Portland we stay put and lose it.

Lol at anyone saying that picture is suspect. Snapbacks and basketball hats in general Are worn by almost everyone- and the hornets colors are some of the most popular. Come one now... The hornets had a good shot at that pic it's not like were talking the bulls with rose or knicks with Ewing here..
