Cripes, man, Ryno has definitely been a better than Lee. I'll take that trade a hundred times.
Remember when Kobe elbowed Jameer in the chin so hard Jameer was knocked down and sent skidding across the floor?

KN: So, where have you worked out so far?

Moe Harkless: I've just been down here. I haven't gone anywhere yet. I have a workout next week with the Orlando Magic.

From DraftExpress.com

From the offseason thread.
https://twitter.com/#!/Probballdraft

The Orlando Magic are working out Mike Scott, Andrew Nicholson, William Buford, Darrion Pellum, Jeff Taylor, and Moe Harkless today.

Dunno if this is gleaned from other reports or if it was actually observed and reported... Harkless' draftexpress interview paints a very positive picture of a focused guy, ready to be a pro...

If he could be a Paul George type for the Magic I'd be ecstatic!

Let Jameer walk and draft Teague or Wroten. its a coin flip between the two, i guess it comes to individual workouts.

Orlando Magic #19 in the NBA Draft

Post#424 » by Lambo_670 » Thu May 31, 2012 1:56 am

The Magic is finally back in the first round draft as #19. What do you guys think and who do you think the Magic should draft in the first round?

Harkless is a classic tweener. Such players rarely become starters. But at #19, teams are often drafting for bench depth.

In the nbadraft.net mock I would take Quincy Miller, Terrence Jones, and Royce White all over Harkless.

In the DraftExpress mock I would take Meyers Leonard, Royce White, Marquis Teague, and Doron Lamb over Harkless.

I'd take harkless over tjones. He seems like less of a tweener, more polished defensively, and based on his shooting mechanics looks like he has a better chance at improving his outside shot . Tjones reminds me a little of earl Clark. And he has no mid range game. Harkless also does a better job at slashing to the basket imo.

EDIT: I always thought harkless was a better competitor and just now I read the scouting report on Jones and it says that he loses confidence in himself when he messes up/bad body language. Lol we don't a mentally weak person on this team. I can't stand it when players are like that. Stop pouting and make up for bad plays. I haven't seen much of royce play but from highlights he looks pretty decent.

I think quincy has a shot to be good because of his skill set..but he stinks of over confidence and and a guy that would do minimal work to improve and get by on his physical ability. But I guess at #19 if he's still available (which imo he won't be) you take that chance.

Kendall Marshall please.

Edit: Just looking at this and it seems I'd have Kendall Marshall as the top PG in this draft. If not him than one of the small forwards Ross, Miller, or Harkless, though I can't really make up my mind. Miller wasn't even top three on his own team but got to the line well and is the most promising passer, while Ross and Harkless were both the best players on their team, though Ross's team was much better.

Okay i said i would dig deeper into Syracuse combo-guard Dion Waiters. The only thing i am worried about is his size 6'3.5" (6'6.5" wingspan). He does have a very strong body/frame and good athleticism.

His game is exactly the type of guard we have been looking for. Also an exellent defender. Potentially a big time scorer and Chad Ford (i know) said he thinks he has near superstar potential.

Per36: 18.8ppg 3.4rpg 3.7apg 2.7spg (1.9to) .363 three% .729ft% also has a PER of near 27.

Overall: I personally do not see enough to say for certain that he can defenitely transition to being a PG (not saying he can't either), but the kid does seem to have big time upside.

Waiters' stock is rising, definite lotto pick now.

I really feel that TRoss could be as good as prime J-Rich but with way better defense. So basically a surefire all-star.

im sure we could trade jj to minny for their 18th pick. not sure if that would be a good move or not. that could allow us to trade up for someone like austin rivers.

Ehhh ....waiters is okay. I like Ross better. Ross can play the 2 or 3 and he's a better defender and all around player imo.

It will be interesting to see if the new GM decides to couple Orlando's #19 with a player to New Orleans to move up to #10. That should be high enough for Marshall's draft rights. Drafting Marshall whilst keeping Nelson would be great for both players!

I would rather trade #19 and a player like JJ Redick? (Nelson maybe?) in order to move up to #11 (Portland) or #14 (Houston) as they both have two early 1st rounders for Austin Rivers and groom him at the PG.
