Considering he seems to be best of buds with Lawrie and Romero?

It is a business, I'm sure they'd handle it the same way they've dealt with other trades.

Lawrie would walk up to JPA, give him props, and say "Dude, you're like my best bro on the whole team".

JPA would props Lawrie back, and reply "Dude, you're totally my best bro on the whole team".

They're professionals baseball players.

The same way they handled Marcum getting dealt.

It would be rough for me to handle as a fan. The relationship between guys like Lawrie and JPA represents the character of the team and is one of the reasons I really like this team. Having likeable young players that get along well and are clearly having a lot of fun is awesome to watch.

They'd respond in the media with cliched quotes like "we understand it's a business".

I can't see them trading him just yet. Maybe after D'Arnaud establishes himself a bit more in the majors. For the first while I think they can keep them both around and find AB's through DH, etc.

There will be a lot less female fans crowding the entrance of the clubhouse

It would suck, the combo of JP, Jose, and Lawrie are a nice core of legit friends/bros. I follow them on twitter, and they remind me of OKC Thunder of basketball. Keeping the core happy can ensure resigning and keeping them all, as well adding to that core. Just my opinion.

It sucks his bat isnt good enough for first base. But i guess they will handle just like how they handled Cecil getting sent down.
