I think Drummond was frustrated with how things were going at that program and how the offense was run. I won't say he didn't have a motor b/c he did block shots, grab offensive rebounds, and run the floor. He needs work on just about every part of his game, but with good teaching I think he'll be a valuable asset.

didn't you have a okafor avi? i'm sure u'll be ok with us drafting Okafor 2.0. We don't need someone who plays like completely dog **** when things aren't going hunky dory, we need a warrior with heart who will fight until the fat lady sings. thats who the bobcats are

Yeah, he looked more lost than poor motor. This guy is a diamond in the rough. Sloan + Drummond = potential All Star.

Here's a MKG vid for yall:

Sure Drummond = Potential all star, but I think Sloan could make T-Rob into a Karl Malone type player

Davis had 9 more double doubles than Drummond, Drummond only had 3 more double doubles than MKG, MKG only had 1 more double double than Beal.

What am I trying to say here?? I have no idea!

How many double doubles did T-rob have?

Can Lamb play the 3, because I know we desperately need a SF but I really think that Barnes and MKG will be average role players, imo neither of those two are worth a top ten pick.

27 double doubles for Robinson
Also, I know what kemba2hendo is trying to say. Drummond rebounded awful last year for some with his supposed skills

We don't need a SF, we have the durable Corey Maggette for that position. Sarcasm aside, if we did draft a SF he'd sit behind Maggette until he inevitably got injured. I'd rather draft a player with a clear chance of starting now.

I just think the kid can use some direction. Things were in total disarray at UConn last year. Calhoun was in and out with medical issues, the NCAA was down their throat, and he was mis utilized in their offense, not to mention his guards were shoot first, second, and third. Not sure how you compare him to Okafor, seems like the exact opposite. Okafor's ceiling was just to be a decent player. Drummonds is way beyond that.

I like T-Rob to, I think he'll be a good player, but I really want to swing for the fences here. I'm sick of just getting "good" players. I want someone with some serious upside. That is part of the fun in having a high draft pick. T-Rob seems a bit undersized and i'm not so sure he'll be the type of guy a franchise can lean on. Maybe Drummond is not that guy either but he has more potential.

Not to mention Drummond is only what 19 and T-Rob is 21.

Drummond rebounded poorly for the same reason Biz rebounded poorly, his guards didn't deny dribble penetration and the team as a whole didn't box out.

Mags will probably turn into Robocop Iron Man in a contract year, trying to get that last big contract somewhere.

Lets not forget the NCAA championship game where Davis laid an egg (1-10) Kentucky only won because they're team was way more stacked, T-Rob however outplayed him with a 18/17 game, he was not the reason they lost that game

because Drummond was usually spot on in his rotations. Dude also like a Biz put himself out of position with chasing things

I am so confused, I am conjuring up memories of T Rob destroying UNC though so maybe I can warm up to him. 8-)

T-Rob could very well be the best player from this draft

but seriously T-Rob did outplay the Unibrow in college basketballs biggest stage.

Well, Royce White outplayed the Unibrow during the tourney also, should we draft him too?

(actually, I'd be over the moon if we left this draft with Royce and Drummond somehow)

220 freight train. He plays bigger than he looks. Did you see the way he attacked inside and finished shots with contact from bigger guys? You don't think he'll be able to put on more muscle and become even better? Even LeBron looked thin early in his pro career but was was still built because he played with explosion and still had that power.
