so let me get this straight, people were going cry conspiracy if New Orleans (14.8%) Cleveland (13.8%) Sacramento (7.6%) or Brooklyn (7.5%) won the lottery? That means 43.7% of the time people would think the lottery was rigged lol people love their conspiracies

People should believe in conspiracy theories. After all, people laughed at us birthers when we told the world that Barack HUSSEIN Obama is a cocaine-smuggling illegal Mexican immigrant from Kenya, sent to this country by George Soros and the Comintern to destroy capitalism and take away our guns and our Bibles. Now, it is recognized as truth by everyone from Donald Trump to that guy who screams at homeless cats down on the corner of 11th & H Streets. Pretty sure those guys wouldn't believe something if it wasn't true.

The NBA Draft Lottery is rigged and Barack HUSSEIN Obama is the one who rigged it as part of his plan to erode confidence in America. See the Truth, people and protect yourselves the way I have!

I suspect that a healthy junk of the conspiracy crowd, doesn't actually believe there is a conspiracy, but play-along for fun. I put myself in that category. The Stern conspiracy talk was all the rage on Sports radio this morning.

You're right, Ji is not alone. I just heard Donald Trump proclaim that he has absolute evidence that the lottery was rigged...and that he'll reveal it on the Geraldo show on Fox this weekend. Stay tuned!

If the Cavs won the lottery people would say it was rigged.
If the Nets won the lottery people would say it was rigged.

With all that was on the line does anyone really think the other owners would allow Stern to rig the lottery? If the lottery was rigged then why exactly did the Wizards get the top pick twice within 10 years?

Little known fact -- the refs aren't human. They're actually robots run by Stern and his henchmen.

If the league really wanted to put the lottery conspiracy theories to rest, they would conduct the actual lottery on live tv. until then, they are just asking for it.

^^^ I agree in part. The league should at least show the actual drawing on a net broadcast. For what it's worth, they do have a number of media representatives in to observe the proceedings, as well as representatives from every team. A woman reporting for a Cleveland paper -- Mary something -- has been to the last two. She described the procedure and says she can't imagine how it could be rigged. Maybe she just lacks imagination.

I have no problem believing the NBA would like to rig the lottery and has, in fact, briefly considered it in the past. But they're not smart enough to pull it off without someone finding out about it. You can't keep a secret in this country for five minutes. If the lottery was fixed we'd have found out about it before Patrick Ewing was selected first overall.

Exactly. No way the lottery stays fixed w/o anyone airing dirty laundry eventually. No matter who won, there would be talk of it being fixed. I for one applaud the Hornets. They didn't tank played hard as hell to end the season and they should get rewarded for that. Good for them. I also am not feeling sorry for us. Ending up in the top 3 is not a bad thing. Anyone who's sulking needs to get over it.

Even if it isn't rigged, the NBA brings a hell of a lot of suspicion upon itself through its caste system based refereeing.

The reffing scandal and the weirdness surrounding the Paul trade didn't help matters.

I would have loved for the Wizards to have gotten the #1 pick, but #2 or #3 was pretty even in my mind. At worst case the Wizards have one of Beal or MKG available. Best case they get to pick

I really didn't want the Wizards at 5 stuck with Drummond or reaching.
