Heat Draft or Trade

Post#1 » by gobraves101905 » Thu May 31, 2012 7:54 pm

Who will the Heat target in the draft? Would they package Bosh and Cole to Phoenix for Nash and Lopez and a #1? Haslem has played so well and you NEVER have to run a play for him.

I don't understand the obssession with Steve Nash. I dont think he would help this team at all. Lebron and Wade need the ball in their hand to be effective, it would take too many years to create chemistry with Nash who is close to 40 years old. I would pass on any trade for Nash.

so what if Haslem has been playing well? He's aging and I'd rather have him be next to someone like Bosh (WHO IS YOUNGER THAN HIM). Putting more pressure on Haslem to be a go-to guy is just.... no...

Haslem is an X Factor nowadays. You don't trade away a huge piece of your team because an X Factor is playing well.

I wouldn't do that package either. rip off

Nash would be nice but... not that package. lol.

Bosh is hear to stay. Heat just need a young huge tall actual center with passing skills and basic post/ scoring. As well as a Scoring Guard/ Forward type to backup Wade/ Lebron ( Beasley Clone type in terms of scoring)

Bosh ain't going nowhere... but I hope this offseason we're able to pick up a good center for once.

So the ECF is not interesting enough? Can we focus on 1 major issue at a time?

If we get anyone with Nash, I'd want it to be Gortat. That said, I don't want us to trade Bosh. Pair him with a rebounding center who can defend the post, and well be fine. Bosh can defend the pnr, so that would give us a complete team. Rio is great for what we got. I'd rather get Nash as a FA...if he wanted to take that pay cut. PEACE.

miami just needs a decent center who isn't undersized and can give about 8-10 points a game and get atleast 10 boards a game and then they will definitely be beast.

Aside from the fact that this trade idea is downright ridiculous (trading relative youth/talent for age is almost as bad as trading a big man for a guard--it's taboo in the NBA), I believe we have a pick in the mid-to-late-20's. I say we take Fab Melo if he's still available. Hopefully, with all of these forwards and point guards gaining all of the hype as a result of the tournament, he slides down to us. Better us than OKC.

You would not be getting older. Lopez is 24 and the Suns have the #13 pick. Also, Heat could still use the exemption to sign somebody. Get a true center that had a bad year. But Lopez came into the year with really high expectations. Nash would come off the bench and give good scoring to the second unit. The Heat look really good only running sets for 2 guys. I think they run sets for Bosh just to keep him happy, but might not be best for the offense.

Why is everyone SO in love with Bosh? Yes he is a great player and has done good in Miami. But he hasn't been 18mil good for Miami. He is not rebounding that well either. You can see what the Heat can do without him. What can they do with his money?

Bosh isn't going anywhere and who ever we draft will likely be sitting on the bench next year if he's lucky to make the team.

Screw PHX, we wont trade Bosh, for an old decrepit players, & another one that the team wont even match any offers on him.
Specially when both are free agents.
