Lacob & Co. in Attack Mode
The Warriors are looking to make more moves and apparently are not done yet, especially after securing the 7th pick:

Definitely appear to be going hard after a veteran or two and seem as though they may have the chips to do it for a change.

Re: Lacob & Co. in Attack Mode
Love it. I think the approach in always pushing for more than is immediately available is such a new appoach. Proactive baby....Charlote needs players big time....if we are not going to get a vet like Gay then moving up to get the BPA in the draft...a guy with star potential...is the way to go.
Maybe Warriors move the 30th plust Dorrel for the 15th, for example...THEN they package the 7th, 15th for the 2nd.
Let's hope things work out.

Re: Lacob & Co. in Attack Mode
Best part is that we're looking to potentially acquire MKG.. only thing we've got that they want? Steph Curry.
Adding MKG + Lillard would be a haul, problem is, we'd still desperately need a big

Bobcats have always been the team that I think we could get max value for Curry. He's a Carolina legend.
Now, I'm probably Curry's biggest homer on this board, but if we got MKG while keeping the 7 as well.... can't pass that up.

Re: Lacob & Co. in Attack Mode
This has been suggested on the trade board:
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.c ... s.warriors
I don't think that Walker is all that great, but he's a better PG than Curry and I'd probably do that particular deal which I think would be fair (Walker + #2 for Curry + #7).

Re: Lacob & Co. in Attack Mode
the bad ankles have seriously made people forget how good Curry was.
If he's healthy, he is one of the best young PG's in the league. 18 and 6 on great percentages already... and we still haven't seen him play without Monta on the team.

Re: Lacob & Co. in Attack Mode
6 apg is not great PG #s (Monta gets that). With the injuries, I'm not sure that Charlotte does it anyways At least if we did trade Curry, we'd be getting a potentially good PG in return. Where Curry shines is in his shooting which is clearly way better than Walker but with Klay, Lee and possibly MKG I think the balance would be pretty good and I'm pretty sure we can pick up a vet PG as well.

Re: Lacob & Co. in Attack Mode
Measuring a PG's effectiveness solely by APG is not a great way of evaluating

Id do the Curry+7 for Kemba+2 quick. Curry has way too many injury concerns at such a young age to invest in, and you can't pass up a player like MKG.
With that being said, if we can somehow get there 2 while keeping our 7, robbery lol. You take that without looking back.

I'd do a Curry for 2 clean swap. As TB said, Steph is a Carolina legend and he could really resuscitate that franchise. I wouldn't give up the 7 because I think Steph + 7 is more valuable than MKG.
Big fat DO NOT WANT on Kemba. And Turk, you're using APG as your primary measure of point guard effectiveness, yet you're saying 3-apg Kemba is a better point?

Lacob & Co. have let their mouths outpace their actions.
Talking more makes me like them less. Explain the moves you make after you make them, don't make promises based on other teams making bad moves to help your team.

To be fair, they have been making moves.

Does anyone know if Lillard can drive the lane.

No Jester, but I will say that assists (imo) is a big part of what I want out of my PGs (I know the trend now is guys like Westbrook and Rose but even they usually will get you close to 8 pg). Westbrook went down this year to 5.5 taking on more of a scoring role but had over 8 his previous 2 years.
Those guys actually when in scoring mode and not assist mod play more like SGs which I think Curry is more of a natural at (why if we got Iggy, I'd want him playing 2 next Steph, that would be ideal to me if we're keeping him at point. Even Tony Pakrer averaged 7.0 apg, which was a career high and turned out to be a career year for him. I prefer Pgs like Chris Paul and a prime JKidd.
The other characteristic that all those guys (including Walker) has which Curry does not is top notch speed which is essential in being able to have a decent chance of being able to stop those guys. Even Monta with all his deficiencies at the point was able to contain guys like Rose and Westbroook on occasion. It's a killer on defense trying to stop those guys. Look at what Westbrook and Parker have been able to do in the playoffs thus far.
The other factor (and maybe the most important) is if we did trade Curry for MKG (which a number here seems they would do) then who we would have to play the point for us? Certainly not Jenkins. I think the question here for you guy is if we did deal Curry, would Kemba be worth giving up the #7? Is there a better point than him that we could nab at that position. I'm not too sure there is. Anyhow, that's my reaoning.

Yes. He's a pretty complete offensive scorer.
The question will be if he is able to find the primary AND secondary open teammates when doing this in the NBA.
He's Monta Ellis with ball handling in a way. He gets assists when a double comes, and he passes to the player that got left. Pretty simple, but not what you would call elite PG play. Its sort of hard to explain, but he get teammates involved when HE creates, yet he rarely gets teammates involved in reaction to what the offense or defensive sets are doing. (that verily likely makes no sense written out...)

Re: Lacob & Co. in Attack Mode
What's the point of a GM if the owner is going to constantly run his mouth about possible trades? This is completely discrediting the GM. People are going to just call Lacob (or his son) with serious trade proposals. Remember how Utah was supposedly upset when he was talking in the media about the pick negotiations.
Just terrible.

Re: Lacob & Co. in Attack Mode
Marshall and Lillard I'd easily take over Kemba Walker...
and just because a PG doesnt create easy shots for teammates doesnt make them a bad PG. Points are supposed to manage the game and put the team in position to succeed.. Curry's lethal jumper and above average vision does that.

My problem with Curry/7 for Kemba/2 is that I think Curry is worth the 2, if not more. In that case you're suggesting Kemba is worth the 7, which he isn't.
I would, however, definitely consider Curry/7 for Bismack/2. We can pick up Machado late in the draft to fill our PG spot.
