Game 3 Post Game Thread

Post#1 » by WD » Sat Jun 2, 2012 3:20 am

Since I don't have much positive to say, I won't say anything...can't believe how we started out then fizzled big time.

As bad as we played, we still had an opportunity to win the game, we needed offense this game, we needed something different. We needed a message, motivation.

Show up next game

I saw no passion, hustle, concentration, heart, and dedication

Should of lost by 30, but LBJ played well, and Wade brought it somewhat in the 2nd half

MM too

Brian Windhorst ‏@WindhorstESPN
Don't think what Heat did lineup-wise is sustainable but if nothing else it forced minutes on KG, Pierce & Allen in game that was a blowout

Spo is a trickster

Jared Dubin ‏@JADubin5
Pierce, Garnett and Rondo each went to the line as many or more times than LeBron.

chris palmer ‏@ESPNChrisPalmer
LeBron James has essentially played all five positions tonight.

Surya Fernandez ‏@SuryaHeatNBA
Why didn't the Heat play with this kind of energy in the 3rd quarter? Is a 3-0 lead not enough motivation?

The NBA on ESPN ‏@NBAonESPN
RT @IzzyESPN: If the Heat would figure out the Celtics' free-throw defense, this game could be even more interesting.

Thought we could've made a nice run near the end, but an offensive rebound and a missed shot later we just seemed to have given up.

we shot like 0-14 since spo's dumb Timeout late in the 1st quarter. the momentum shifted.

we sucked overall on defense.. rondo got to the basket way too easily. spo is falling in love with Rio too much. hes playing well but why not try Norris Cole on Rondo for at least 10 mins?

we dug too deep of a hole and the defense was bad

they waited too late for a comeback

we needed LeBron and Wade's offense in the 4th but LeBron exerted too much energy guarding KG. I thought Haslem should have been in the game earlier because he has been clutch lately.

Wade never showed up. He better drop 40 in Game 4. He's been getting a pass lately because he has shown up in the 2nd half of games, but he just never got it going at all.

No adjustments, bad defense... role players showed up TOO late.

But the fact that the Celtics almost blew a lead against us again is hilarious. We can win the next 2 against them.

Oh and MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS YOU FOOLS.

Instead of at least getting our starters some rest, we tried a rally everybody knew wasn't gonna happen and still lost. Wake the **** up Wade. This whole team gets so lazy sometimes, and I'm not even gonna talk about our ongoing FT issues.

Lebrons points meant nothing in this game to me, we needed more balance scoring, less complaining on the court between Lebron and Chalmers.

Doc used Daniels and Dooling very well tonight, there is absolutely no need for JJ to be on the floor is=f he doesn't take 5 shots.

this guy is an idiot, he loves to take away momentum, just loves it

Wade never showed up tonight, we could have stolen this game in dramatic fashion if he did

I agree 100% coach Spo always kills momentum with his timeout to sub a player in.
Lebron on Kevin Garnette is really bad coaching. why not but haslem or Tiaf.
My only problem with Wade these last 2 years has been his jumper and his crying at the ref. If wade had his jumper then this team would be a much better place.

This was a pathetic game. They coast through 3 quarters and all of the sudden, they played with a lot more energy in the 4th. A little too late is it>

I hope this game shows Wade/Spo that these slow starts ain't gonna cut it in the future. Wade needs to stop being passive and start aggressive in the beginning of the game and Spo needs to stop babying his minutes in the 1st quarter.

Lebron was the only guy who really showed up, but nice try.

You guys are missing the biggest mistake about tonight's game (besides FT's)

SPO SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT IN HASLEM OR ANTHONY FOR BATTIER LATE IN THE GAME!!!

You're taking away LeBron's offense by having him guard Garnett. Down 8, if Spo makes the switch of LeBron on Pierce, and Haslem/Anthony on KG. It could have had a closer outcome. Spo stuck with small ball too long.

After 35 FTA in Game 2, LeBron and Wade combine for just 5 FTA in Game 3 -- tied for lowest playoff total as teammates.

I'm not even surprised by these type of inexplicable, half assed efforts anymore. However, they do still have a great knack for pissing me off.

****ing get it done in Game 4.

I agree, Haslem should have been in at the end there. Run Miller instead of Battier for once. Miller brought us back into the game.

Spo loves Battier too much, even on a night when Battier isn't making sh-t. He sucked so bad.
