Orange on pink? That clashes, silly. And it's supposed to be a feather boa. I was going for Elton John gay.

Re: Charlotte Hornets?

NBA deputy commissioner Adam Silver said in April the league “would clearly look at’’ returning the Hornets name to Charlotte if Bobcats owner Michael Jordan wants it. Typically the league wants two seasons of lead time before installing a new team name, but Silver said this could be simpler since the league already owns “Charlotte Hornets.’’
Evans said a possible color change would neither increase nor decrease chances of the Bobcats considering a name change. The Bobcats have avoided commenting on the Hornets nickname, since it’s still owned by another franchise.

Interesting is the bit that Silver said. The NBA owns the Charlotte Hornets so the process would be simpler. I have never heard that before. Anyway I'm glad to hear this color scheme change won't hinder our possible attempt to get the Hornets back. Anyway, I think I like the color scheme and the draft day hats.

Re: Charlotte Hornets?
Two of the popular choices, Hornets and Cougars, would be far easier to switch to if they wanted to go that route. Hornets obviously would have to wait until everything is cleared with New Orleans but once free, it could probably be done in one offseason.
Cougars is owned by the city of Charlotte (I believe), so they wouldn't have to clear it with any outside sources to get the ball rolling. Could also probably be done in one offseason.
Flight is the one that may take longer as it isn't already trademarked by a relevant party

Well, I can't imagine The Gay Sloths mascot. I mean even Bobcats have had a pimp looking mascot.
Cougars i am ok with. Still Cats, so we would not lose lolcats jokes and maybe could add some new (would Lady Cats still be called the same? would the same ones audition?)

Would our WNBA team be called the Silver Foxes?

I don't understand the hassle of going through logo color changes aka having to remake basically everything with our logo on it (undoubtedly a boatload of ****) if this was planning to take place any time soon. If it was happening this year or next year you'd think they'd just stick with what we have to keep cost down right?

Maybe for alternate uniforms or something.
I'm a Charlotte Bobcats, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Braves and North Carolina Tar Heels fan!

Re: Charlotte Hornets?
Looks like someone behind the Bring Back The Buzz campaign probably has something to do with that.

I don't believe that.
Why couldn't it be a pro name change person in New Orleans that did it? They are trying to ditch the Hornets name and this could have been a prank by someone in New Orleans.
I've meet those guys and making a fake tweet that will undoubtedly be exposed as fake does absolutely nothing to help the cause, if nothing else it would weaken it.
