Haha! Yeah he's garbage. But he might average 12-15rpg in our team.

That's assuming teams will miss 12-15 shots with him on the floor.

Turner, Brand, Vucevic, 15th Pick, and another future first

for

Bynum, Hill (S&T'd), Blake, McRoberts (exp), and Eyenga (exp)

Whose coming with me?

Wait to see what Williams does then go out and sign 2-3 jumpshooters to compliment Bynum, Holiday, and Iguodala (the new big 3).

Rudy Fernandez, Anthony Parker, and Carlos Delfino should all be targets.

I'd try my damndest to sign all three.

If the Lakers don't pass and we do get Bynum I could see this happening...

Turner goes to LA and becomes Kobe's replacement and goes on to have a great career.
Vucevic gets the opportunity many of us wanted him to have and he turns out to be a pretty decent center scoring around 13 a game and grabbing 8 boards a game.

The 15th draft pick ends up being a steal in the draft and is a starter next to Turner for years to come.

We get Bynum who snaps his leg and tears all of his tendons in his knee
Jordan Hill ends up going to prison for beating a woman
Josh McRoberts winds up being a good role player
Eyenga goes overseas

The trade ultimately sets us back for five years and before we can become a legit contender I die of some new form of cancer...

Ya'll are funny as hell.

The glass is definitely half-empty with some of ya'll.

Why can't Bynum be the new Moses?

The Lakers probably don't do it, but with the picks, I'd role the dice on Turner as the next Laker great, especially if one of those picks was unprotected (but I'd do it with the protection).

The Sixers would still need a true impact player on the wing (or at PG) to be great though.

Holiday and Iguodala are really, really good role players. They really shouldn't be second options unless the first option is Wilt Chamberlain.

PTB: ET and 15th (Leonard)
76ers: 6Th(Sullinger) and 11th(perry jones)

Why for PTB:
Exits the draft with goals accomplished. They got a talented SG and a center to play with LaMarcus.

Felton-ET-Batum-LA-Leonard

Why for Philly:
Philly got two promising players to improve their non-existent frontcourt:
Jrue-Meeks-Iguodala-Perry Jones-Sullinger

That more than likely would be a combo of Sullinger/Jones and a swing like Ross or Barnes.

Sullinger is not a center.

But i love the idea....I doubt portland goes for it.

Perry Jones is so intriguing...he and Lamb are non top 5 picks I would be aggressive in pursuing. Jones could be that special player that creates matchup problems regardless of where he plays.

Turner, 15th pick and 2 second rd picks for Wes Mathews , 6th and 11th pick.
Or

Iggy and 15th for Wes matthews , 6th and 11pick.

3" taller and completely different skill sets. jones as a great handle and more guard like skills...love Thad, but I don't think they are similar players.

That is a lot in return from Portland...could see something like that, but doubt Matthews is included.

I still think that the best course of action seems to be Iggy for PTB (6). Hopefully draft Barnes. Then amnesty Brand. Now you have around 21 million in your pocket just from them. If you do not resign Lou WIlliams and let Meeks walk, then you have around 28 million. That is enough for a star and a good player. I do not know if the Hornets now give up Gordon, because Davis and Gordon sounds like a duo for the future, but if they do let him go (or we have to trade Turner or Holliday in a sign and trade), we could then sign Lopez to a $10 million deal. I, personally, would even give Gordon the max for that team.

IF WE TRADE TURNER IN GORDON SIGN AND TRADE: STILL HAVE MONEY TO RESIGN LOU WILLIAMS

PG: Holliday, Williams
SG: Gordon
SF: Barnes
PF: Young
C: Lopez, Lavoy

IF WE JUST SIGN HIM

PG: Holliday
SG: Gordon
SF: Turner, Barnes
PF: Young
C: Lopez, Lavoy

I think it sounds pretty good.
PG: Russell Westbrook, Reggie Jackson
SG: Andre Roberson, Anthony Morrow, Jeremy Lamb
SF: Kevin Durant, KJ McDaniels, Perry Jones
PF: Serge Ibaka, Nick Collison, Robert Covington
Cc: Al Jefferson, Steven Adams, Kendrick Perkins, Mitch McGary

I agree this is what i would like to see but im not sure barnes last past the cavs...he would be perfect on our team with jrue and turner...his big knock is he is still learning how to create for himself, but hes a dead-eye shooter...with turner and jrue as the primary ball handlers you can really utilize barnes's strengths as he progresses with his ball-handling skills

and hes just a pure professional if you have ever heard him interview very mature for a young kid his age coming into the league. he def has the right attitude.

Thad Young not a PF. He can't play defense and if you are starting him then he's not going to give you much on the offense end either since he has no effective go to move or a consistent jumper (i still cringe more when he shoots then end of quarter Lou).

And if you are going to sign Gordon and keep Turner then there's no point in drafting Barnes. You gotta draft a big man at that point.

If you trade up to 6, I think the pick would need to be Drummond if he's there.

As for the roster you list, that team would be awful on the boards. Thad can not start at PF. Lopez isn't a tough big. Those 2 together would be a nightmare. Not sure how you acquired Gordon and Lopez too....no way we have the $$ for both.

Exactly. You are right that the Cavs probably want him, but the way I see the draft working is.

1. Davis
2. Kidd
3. Beal
4. Drummond
5. Robinson
6. Barnes

That's hopefully what happens. Of course some teams could suprise, but I think that is realistic.

I actually change my mind. I don't think trading Holliday, Turner, Young, Vuc, and 2 2nds for Howard is that ridiculous. Then sign Deron Williams.

PG: DWill
SG: Meeks
SF: Iggy
PF: Allen
C: Howard

Anyone have any good ideas for a T.Young trade?

I'm thinking if we are keeping JTI (let's just say we are), and we don't want to amnesty Brand cause the FA market isn't good enough... that doesn't leave us a lot to work with to make moves...

So what can we get for Young? Either go the direction of best pick possible or maybe an older better fit type player.
