The one thing we haven't seen from Rory is a fight against a good wrestler (or guy with good TD defense). I'd be very interested in seeing him vs Hendricks, Kampmann, Kos, or a guy like that.

I'd favor Rory in a rematch vs Condit tbh. Slightly.

The guy just has a way about him.

He really looks a carnival pugilist to me.

I am glad they are giving him fair fights right now.
No need to rush this kid, there's a ton of strong fighters at the top, he'll be there soon.

And there's another interesting thing.

i think for Condit's future, he's got to come out and really put on a show in his next fight.

That Diaz debacle was not fun to watch, and I was not a big fan of him altering his usual awesome style, to that of an evasive point-fighter.

He also should man up and defend his interim belt. All these guys waiting for title shots is so frustrating.

Can't disagree. Look at Kampmann. His last three are wins vs Story, Alves, and Ellenberger with 2 finishes there (and imo beat Diego before that). That is title shot worthy. If not real title due to injury, then interim title. Hendricks, wins over Waldburger, Pierce, Fitch, Kos. Probably title shot worthy when you consider Kos wasn't far removed from a shot and Fitch was high in the p4p rankings at the time. But no, we have guys worthy of title shots probably fighting each other because the second best division in the sport is stagnant.

Sorry, I harp on this too much.

Okay, okay, now we're talking!

"If it turns out Georges can't fight in November, most likely, I will fight somebody else. I really wanna fight Georges. I really wanna unify the belts, but there's also some other guys that I would like to fight as well. You know, Martin Kampmann's the only guy that I've lost to in the UFC, the only guy I've lost to in about the last six years, so I would definitely like to avenge that loss."

^ Yes, I thought it was good too, but it was a debacle because we didn't see that "dogfight" we all knew could happen.

It had potential to be one the greatest fights ever.

I think Condit ends the Kampmann streak if they fight. Condit is one the best finishers in the game.

I think that's a tough fight for Condit. I think he's probably a better fighter, but stylistically?

I should re-watch the first. I know Condit/Kampmann and Condit/Ellenberger were both super super close fights.

Super close.

I'm just thinking that Kamp's ability to take power shots and somehow recover might not be the best plan against a Carlos Condit.

It's so close though, man, who knows.

Fans are the winners in that one.
