Just MHO but MKG is the right player at the wrong time for the Bobcats. He shouldn't be this team's pick ... but he is going to make some other team happy. Right now I lean Thomas Robinson first then Bradly Beal second. I'm OK with MKG, but I think that the team needs one of those other two guys more right now. Drummond is the one name that really sets off my alarm bells.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Just because I can … based on the Higgens/Cho interview back in late Feb (http://www.newsobserver.com/2012/02/25/ ... rylink=rss).

What Cho looks for when evaluating players

Positives (4 C's)
* Guys who compete
* Guys with character
* Guys who have consistency
* Guys who cover (play defense)

Negatives (4 S's)
* Guys who are slow
* Guys who are soft
* Guys who are stupid
* Guys who are selfish

Just my impression but Thomas and MKG seem to fit the 4 C’s the most. Barnes and Drummond seem to hit a few of the 4 S’s IMHO. Not really sure where Beal fits either way.

Here are four full length games with a ton of prospects in them. I think its important to watch prospects and what they do throughout the game and not just the 3 highlight plays from each game.

I'm going to change my vote from Robinson to MKG. Going into the draft, our mindset should be on drafting MKG just because it gives up so much leverage. Base on Wizards and Cavs' need and likeness of Beal/MKG, Robinson is be guarantee to fall to 4th anyway. The Cavs' board voting have 75% wanting MKG. With recent news of them willing to trade asset and picks to guarantee them MKG, we should take advantage of the having the 2nd pick. If nothing works out, we'll still have a potential star. Lets be honestly, we're probably wont make the playoff next year... we have time for a project.

i'm glad you went back and dug this up. there was a lot of information in what cho said. i've been thinking back to this article recently and cho stays true to his word, it would seem to eliminate drummond from contention since he doesnt show consistency, doesnt always compete and seems to be soft. it definitely bumps up robinson and mkg.

most of us have a favorite between mkg, drummond, robinson and beal. and most of us would actually be ok with 2 or 3 of these guys. but who is the one guy of the four that will upset you the most if chosen?

That's how I think the Bobcats FO should play it. I'd even be committed to making MKG the pick and seeing if we could deal him in the draft to make sure there is a prospect (T-Rob) that we like available.

Robinson. I would not spend a #2 pick on a DeJuan Blair/Brandon Bass hybrid. I'm torn between MKG and Drummond at #2, and Beal is kind of just there. I wouldn't necessarily want him at #2. I think he'll be a solid player but I'd be more upset at the fact we passed up MKG/Drummond for him.

Oh, and I'd stop being a Bobcats fan if we used the #2 pick on Harrison Barnes or Jared Sullinger.

This is constantly changing, but I think it would be MKG. Personally I think he's the third best among those guys RIGHT NOW (T-Rob, Beal, MKG, Andre), and I also feel he has the least potential (Andre, Beal, T-Rob, MKG).

I like the guy and think he has a great attitude and mindset, but as of now I think he belongs in the bottom-half of the top 10, not worth the No. 2 IMO.

Man, where are you people coming with these comparisons? It is a good thing you guys aren't scouts.

Now, me personally, I would be upset with Drummond, but honestly of the 4 listed, I would be okay with all.

Probably MKG. I don't see an elite skill he possesses. I think at 2, you want a guy that can at least do something heads and shoulders better than everyone else in the draft and not just a busy bee.

And I hope Cho is smart enough not to evaluate Drummond (or any of these guys) based on one year of play. I don't think it's fair to say Drummond doesn't fit those 4 C's or fits those 4 S's b/c he had a bad year in a bad situation.

I doubt they base much out of the NCAA other than as an extra resource. College ball is much different than the NBA and to go strictly off of what kids did in college would just be idiotic.

When do team specific workouts take place?

From favorite to least
1) T-Rob as much of a can't miss as you can get, the only knock his haters have on him is his height, when there has been HOF PF's who have been shorter then him and dominated
2)MKG- def has potential, and would have the most trade value initially
3) Brad Beal- Do not want, he plays like a old man ray allen, Reggie Miller IMO is his ceiling
4)Andre Drummond - Dude will be a bust, I can just look at his face and tell

I'd take PJ3 and Harrison Barnes over MKG, Beal and Drummond

I would be upset if Lamb doesn't work his way back up into the discussion for #2

In order of Preferance
1.Beal-Im torn between he and T-Rob but we need elite scoring so he gets the edge
2-T-Rob-Hes a solid player immediately who can grow into an allstar
3-MKG- Not a ton of potential but solid
4-Drummond- Dont want, we cant afford a bust
