With the last pick(390) in the draft the Memphis Grizzlies select

Alan Anderson

A veteran swingman, who has traveled around the world. He has shown the ability to hit the three, defend, and provide a veteran savy. He's played for some of the best teams internationally such as Maccabi Tel Aviv and FC Barcelona. He was named the 2009 Croation Cup MVP as well as the 2011 Spanish Cup MVP. A great fit on the team who can fill in some spot/backup minutes at the 2 or 3.

And that's it boys.

ANNOUNCEMENT

ANY GM who have failed to make a pick you have been assigned can PM with the pick (or picks) before noon EST Tuesday. If you fail to do so I will RANDOMLY assign players (and if you are missing a head coach) a head coach to your team. They will NOT be who I think is best remaining NOR will they necessarily fit a team need. No reason why anyone should not be able to make their pick(s) in the time alloted.

Re: Build-a-Team 7.0 Draft FA/Trades Thread (FA Starts 8PM E

Post#754 » by moocow007 » Wed Jun 6, 2012 8:37 pm

ANNOUNCEMENT: FREE AGENCY INFO

We are going to start the Free Agency period Wednesday Night at 8PM EST.

We will use THIS THREAD (no reason to open a separate thread and clog things).

THIS THREAD will be unlocked at 8PM EST (or as close to it as possible). Once the thread is unlocked, GM's can start making their FA picks.

RULES for FREE AGENCY (PLEASE READ IT COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY, NO CRYING ABOUT IT IF YOU FAILED TO READ THE RULES AND DO SOMETHING YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO)

Please read this carefully and make sure you follow it.

1. ONLY ONE free agent can be picked within a 24 hour period by a team. DO NOT pick multiple players!!! If you do, NONE OF THEM WILL COUNT (sorry there is no, oh then take the 2nd guy, the 3rd guy on my list then if someone else jumps in front of you with your 1st guy...this isn't a queueing task). This is to give everyone a shot and to prevent bull rushers from grabbing up multiple players the second FA starts.

2. You can drop any player currently on your roster at any point once free agency starts (even players that were picked during the 13 rounds).

3. Players dropped by another team CANNOT be claimed for 24 hours (this is regardless of whether that player is a FA or was picked in the 13 rounds). This is to prevent teams from circumventing the salary cap by working on quick "drop and pick" agreements with other teams.

4. You do NOT need to pick up any free agents if you wish not to. As long as you have 12 players and 1 head coach at any given time (minimumally) you are fine.

5. Head coaches CAN be dropped but another one must be IMMEDIATELY picked up.

6. As with players, head coaches that are dropped CANNOT be reclaimed for 24 hours.

7. If by dropping a player you fall under 12 players and 1 head coach you MUST IMMEDIATELY pick up a player (or coach) so that you always have at least 12 players and 1 head coach.

8. Teams CANNOT exceed 15 players (and 1 head coach) at any time. If, by picking a player, you exceed the 15 player limit you must IMMEDIATELY drop someone.

The Detroit Pistons select...

JONNY FLYNN

Flynn's a powerplug of a point guard that we will look to provide depth and bring energy and intensity off the bench. A talented young player, the former 5th overall pick, still has a chance to prove himself and he will be able to do so learning for one of the best at the point guard trade in Andre Miller.

Flynn will get an opportunity to show that he belongs and a chance to even run with the 2nd unit with his ability to play uptempo. Flynns ability to attack the basket, draw opposing defenses and evolving passing skills should create plenty of scoring opportunities for others and for himself.
