Here's a real Bizzaro world scenario - I live in LA now and was surrounded by Lakers fans in a bar for game 4 who were almost ALL rooting for the Celtics. Unreal.

The Lebron hate is strong. No one likes a league in which players get together and attempt to pick a winner via free agency.

Also - lets admit that Doug Collins did in fact do a good job on Rondo. Sploestra and the Heat have no answer for him. The good news is that I don't think OKC will either..

Those people aren't Lakers fans.

You might be the only Rondo hater left in Celtics nation at this point. Give it up.

p.s. Why hasn't anyone made a YouTube mix of Rondo using Mozart's famous rondo as the soundtrack? I think there are even hip-hop remixes of it that could be used.

All of RealGM rooting for Rondo and Boston

Stepback,

You know that I believe that the Truth is hands down the best scorer on this team by light years, AND still the best player on this team. And the only reason he is scoring 21-24 ppg relatively inefficiently (rather than TOTALLY beasting & dominating) is his persistent MCL injury (which will NOT heal until AFTER the playoffs are over) - as reiterated by Doc himself on WEEI yesterday.

HOWEVER:

Give credit where credit is due.

Rondo's overall playoff run to date has been mother **** LEGENDARY! Otherworldly! Fantastic!

That "simple" bounce pass to Paul through a microscopic opening was one of the best passes I have ever seen.

The kid is playing out of his gourd.

Huge props & appreciation to RR!

SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

I Can't wait til he's having these legendary playoff performances when GPA hang it up. Realgm Celtics fans are the most delusional fans I've ever seen. Rondo is not the kind of player you build around. We're gonna have some awful years here when he's the lone guy.

IMO, he's still the third most important Celtic behind Pierce and Garnett.

Then go spend your time at cblog's forum. Funny thing, though. Even the biggest Rondo critics there have turned a corner. Like I said, you're now pretty much the only anti-Rondo Celtics fan in the online world. Congrats.

Pierce made the playoffs 3 or 4 times and carried the Cs to within 2 games of the Finals. Lets not compare Rondo to Pierce.

You're the only one who wants that to happen stepback. Instead of appreciating rondo, it turns into a Pierce vs Rondo debate. Let's just stop there.

As for the OP, good, nothing wrong with being liked. Even if it is for 7 games or less.

...and in case any of you might doubt, yes we are very much so pulling for your team. The enemy of my enemy is my HOMEBOY!!!!!

Greetings from a Hawks fan (yes, we do exist) since 1985... Long time Celts fans know that the closest that my team ever got to anything was snuffed out by an icy green dagger way back in 1988. Given that you guys have also busted us up in recent years, you have to know that I can't stand Celtic Green.

But wait...there's more...!!!! Before I was a Hawks fan, I was a Lakers fan and I still am. I fell in love with basketball when my big brother turned me on to the Showtime Lakers back in 1983. They were my playoff team, given also that the Hawks would routinely never amount to anything. So you know I have some Celtic hate...

I love Rondo and always have, but KG and Pierce..........uhhhhhhhhhh.

And yet, here I am screaming like a school girl and cheering them on. And actually coming onto the Celtics board to give MAD props to your team for punching Miami in the gut. I am so happy right now I don't know what to do. So yes, LeBron Hate is strong. lol Ironically, D-Wade is absolutely my favorite player in the NBA and I'm steadily cursing this cat and cheering for #2 (KG) on my dislike list. My God.....lol.

Out of sheer respect for the game, I must put my Green hate aside. Evil must be defeated. Good luck to your team. All the way through the finals!

Always glad to have you non-Celtic fans on board with us.

I will always root for any team that is playing the Heat. I hate them that much.
