I don't see Davis blocking three shots a game in his rookie season. Maybe two per game. By his 3rd year, I expect somewhere between three and four a game. I'd say he's a 12/10/2 rookie with very good defense. Easy rookie of the year.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Are these numbers if they were drafted by us or the numbers that they can put up on whomever they get drafted by?

Beal's numbers seems to be the most realistic if he was drafted by us. He would obviously be starting and be playing alongside Kemba. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kemba and Beal average at least a combined 10 rebounds per game, which is pretty impressive for such a small backcourt.

Some of these comparisons are sort of weird.

Eg: Terrence Ross = DeRozan - JR Smith

Seriously - could those two dudes be any different?

Damn Blake Griffin averaged 22/12 as a rookie, and you guys are worried about T-Rob? I would venture to say he'll average at-least 18/9 as a rookie, and may win ROY if Davis struggles due to his lack of msucle

No, I'm worried he will fall into the Reggie Evans comparison.

In Chad Fords latest mock draft he has Bobcats taking Gilchrist. Top 5 were Davis, Gilchrist, Beal, Barnes, and then Robinson.

He also said he wouldn't be surprised at all if Charlotte didn't have an NBA team in a few years.

In a sim league I am in, we have played 11 seasons and Drummond has a career average of 17.2 ppg and 12.4 rpg and averaged 3.0 blocks per game. His career high season he averaged 20.6 ppg and 13.7 rpg.

MKG has a career average of 19.9 ppg and 7.0 rpg, his career season he averaged 23.8 ppg and 7.8 rpg.

Beal was by far the worst with 4.7 ppg and 3.5 rpg career average but he has only played 1 year and only an average of 19.6 mpg.

T Rob averages 12.2 ppg and 10.4 rpg through 3 seasons with a career high year being 14.1 ppg and 11.0 rpg in his second season.

Cheers for the links fats, the breakdown of options is very comprehensive and well done.

If we pick at two we have to take Robinson imo but we really should trade down with Portland.

I just don't see Portland trading 6 and 11 for 2. They have their biggests needs at C and PG. Who are they going to take with the 2?

I read it all on a Raptors message board, cant find it now. Basically said our choices will be Robinson or Gilchrist if we don't trade down and most scouts believe the pick will be Gilchrist.

Him saying he wont be surprised if the team isn't in Charlotte in a few years is just more hate on us. Between him, Jeff Van Gundy, and Bill Simmons writing an article once a year bashing us Im used to it.

Drummond, I remember some talk about them being interested in him. I definitely wouldn't be opposed to trading the #2 and Kemba for #6, #11, and a role player. Drummond and Kemba fill their two biggest needs.

They're not going to put all their chips in the Drummond basket. If they traded two lottery picks for a guy who ends up being a bust they will look incredibly foolish. They "may" gamble on him at 6 as it looks he will probably be there. Adding Kemba doesn't sweeten it enough for them in my opinion either.

The value of the number 2 pick is going to largely depend on measurements and workouts anyways.
