That's probably what 90% of the team thought after game 2. And after game 3.

It's sickening.

The guy will never get cut loose either because our talent will always cover his mistakes. Sometimes I forget that this is the same coach who's only experience prior to the big 3 was losing 2 series to the ATLANTA HAWKS yeesh.

So Pop is a terrible coach for losing to the Thunder 3 in a row, right? Scott Brooks coached circles around him, right?

I don't know why I read this forum after losses. I guess I get a bit of kick out of the overreaction. I just don't understand why Spo is the easy target. IMO, it's pretty tough to overlook what happened in the game, and that is a bunch of clanked looks. Boston did a better job punishing us for bad rotations than we did to them. PEACE.

I am sorry, but Pop won 4 championships, he coached a dynasty, his team is old and pass its best years, and still playing at the highest of levels in the WCF.
Spo has a team of 3 top players in their prime. Players that have made it to the finals with much less, and is about to lose to an old Celtics team.
Get me a real coach ASAP.
Heck, I'll take Pop.

Honestly I'm starting to become a believer in the whole "LBJ stunted Wade's growth" argument. Ever since LeBron showed up Wade just hasn't been as consistently dominant as he used to be. LBJ is the better player and gets his numbers all the time but it seems as if Wade's overall production has really suffered as a result of him deferring to LBJ and Bosh more instead of being the focal point of the offense.

What a shame... He and LeBron said they would be able to overcome their differences and make it work. Maybe it won't work out after all? :nonono:

stop it, wade is a vet, and there is no more growth in his game. Not about something he can gain, but something he has lost. Wade needs to work back at getting his jumper. Right now he has limited was to score. The big picture of the whole big 3 was to defeat the purpose of having one dominant player. Wade is caught, stuck in th middle, and its time for him to start facing the fact that flash is starting to dimmer.

JUST SOMETHING TO WIN!!! SOMETHING!!

I find it funny how we could've beaten them that year. The Heat had a double digit lead at a point. And KG was suspended for Game 2. We lost Game 3 due to pierce's jumper and Game 4 Wade just exploded to stay away from the sweep. I'm fortunate to have my home team making it this no matter what happens, I appreciate every player who has played in a Heat uniform.

Not to sound like a dick but Wade is 30 and his body is not what it used to be...don't get me wrong, he still has the ability to go nuts as we saw in the Pacers series...Lebron/Bosh are NOT "holding him back". But with as much as Wade sat out in the reg season I thought he would be in excellent shape for the playoffs... I really believe Wade either PHYSICALLY can't give his all for 4 quarters or he purposely plays more "low key" for an entire half to conserve energy against a team who is tired down by then. Only problem is, when Wade plays this way his teammates are torn down too. I'm hoping it's the latter, because the latter can be fixed.

we also lost game 5 because of a genius play by Doc.... Wade with the clutch steal and jam... probably one of the worst losses ever after losing in OT.

If the C's punch us early on in Game 6 I'm confident that we will fold.

This is a front running team for the most part. Before Game 5 most of us were saying this team would lose a close/clutch game to the Celtics and that's what happened.

They are too experienced, too confident. This isn't the young Pacers we're dealing with.

Edit:
Homer part of me says we will win the next one and then take Game 7.

Non-homer part of me says "put money on the Celtics!"

This series is over. I can't believe Miami is about to lose to the Boston Celtics.

if Boston has a game where EVERYTHING is falling, we might fold. We tried to come back the last 2 times but this team has to stop doing that.

1-7 in the big 3 era IN BOSTON.

it's going to be hard as hell to win in Boston. HARD.

I just hope to god they get through adversity and grow again as a team and win game 7. that would be awesome.

That's sadly somewhat true. The pacers series was more of an anomaly than a characteristic performance. I just don't see the focus and determination it takes to win in a situation like this. Hell, we were lucky to even win Game 2. The only game that we really won on excellent play was Game 1 when Boston didn't have a chance to make adjustments. Boy oh boy have they adjusted.

I'm deflated right now. Going into Game 6 vs. Dallas I really liked our chances because we were at home. Right now though??

We've won a road game in every playoff series since the Big 3 formed except for this one. We NEED to get one in this series.

If the heat dont win game 6 im done with espn, Basketball Blogs, and being a fan of Basketball. The amount of scrutinizing coming this teams way if they lose will have the whole damn Nation on their asszes especially Lebron. I dont know how he sleeps at night knowing if they lose this next game is possibly the biggest if his career at the moment. 2 years wasted is that what PAt Riley wanted

I didn't think this board needed another thread started just hours after another loss, so I'm going to vent my frustrations right here.

THIS IS A GAME OF MAKES AND MISSES

It is for this reason that the NBA postseason is in its current format. If it were all black and white, and all about who has the better "big 3" (stupid **** term), then these playoffs would be in the format of a single game bracket. They are not. Our shooting % seems to be at or above normal for an ECF, but it's not about that imo.

Look at the quality of the shots being taken. This team has grown/improved tremendously in the past season, and the proof is in the types of shots being taken. Our two star wings have been excellent at creating shot opportunities for their teammates (this is normal). Aside to that, they have taken far less three pointers. When they come, they are usually wide open and in rhythm. Tonight Wade passed up on one, took a dribble and took a very easy jumper. Haslem's shot has not been dropping as well, you can call it aging, rust, whatever. The fact is, with Bosh seeing more minutes, we can expect these shots to be makes.

Our defense has been acceptable. The way I see it, if Boston did not make difficult, contested jumpers, we win the game tonight. This includes PIerce's 3 with under a minute, as well as PIetrus being gift wrapped wide open corner shots (bounce of the ball, hard to control that). I saw plenty of shots rim out on the Heat's end. Boston did not share that fate.

So, now's the time I get to the point of this post.

Everybody that wants to sit and point fingers at somebody (Spo, lebron, refs, etc) is taking away from the fact that this is a team game. This goes double for anybody talking about end of regulation execution, and triple for anyone suggesting a trade. It is a mental game that is as much feel as it is skill. With a sense of urgency going into this next game, maybe the shots drop to quiet a sea of green. But first, as fans of this Miami Heat team, we need to quiet ourselves. If the weed of doubt is allowed to grow rampantly in our home, how quick will it spread abroad?

There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Doubt separates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills.
