Not a fan of Lamb's makeup. Leaning toward Rivers.

Just watching that Jeremy Lamb interview I see where everybody is coming from with the whole "laid back" thing. The guy looks like he's about to fall asleep. I still think he's too good of a player to pass up though.

Also are we doing any workouts? Everybody else seems to be doing them already.

Oh and btw Terrence Ross said he wants to go somewhere warm so I guess he's crossed off the list LOL.

I liked how Lamb handled the questions in the interview. You can tell he's pretty intelligent by the way he thinks through his answers.

And yeah, Terrence Ross' answer was hilarious. "That's the biggest thing for me. I want to go somewhere where the weather's going to be nice." And then "At this point, I'll go anywhere..."

As for workouts, the combine starts today. BC and co have already been touring around and watching some guys workout, but the Raps haven't hosted a workout yet. Don't get too married to the pick, though.

Are you sure you're a scout?

[edit] Hah, Lamb isn't picky about who he's drafted by. Perfect for us!

Slightly OT:
Sources say the Cavaliers are very high on the 20-year-old small forward and appear unlikely to let him slip past them at the No. 4 slot in the June 28 draft. While this week's predraft combine in Chicago (June 6-7), and the team workouts thereafter, could always change things, rival executives are planning for Barnes to be off the board by the time the fifth pick (Sacramento) rolls around.

The combine starts tomorrow.
I wonder if there is a separate thread needed.
When I create a thread, some how it never ended up great, so not sure if someone else want to do this.

That's not OT at all. This is the draft thread. I think I heard somewhere else that the Cavs loved Barnes last year, so maybe they're still interested.

That Beal might slide a bit is encouraging to me. If he gets by Portland @6 I think he'll be on the board when we draft.

Lamb? Word is that Lamb is climbing the charts. But at whose expense?

In no particular order:

1. Davis
2. T-Rob
3. MKG
4. Barnes (if the Cavs really do like him)
5. Drummond
6. Lamb
7. Beal (on the Bulls board, they're saying the Warriors want Deng for the 7th pick)

...

8. Trade the F down or out.

Cleveland do look sure to take Barnes at 4. Aside from his obvious physical talent and skill-set he ticks all the other boxes too - he will likely be the best interview of the lottery prospects and he is very close with Kyrie Irving. It's a no brainer for them to take Barnes.........if he is stil there.

Right now I'm going with the Bobcats taking Barnes with the second pick.

One of the point guards, maybe? Lillard, Marshall? It's possible. They have Matthews in a long-term deal, and the new GM just said re-signing Batum was a top priority. I think it's also possible Drummond could go here (Olshey signed Jordan to that big deal, remember.) Olshey also mentioned they're not looking for quick fixes, so it's possible he goes with an upside pick. Considering there's buzz that GS might take Terrence Jones ( ) I think it's not out of the question.

I could see Portland reaching and taking Austin Rivers at 6.

I'd love for it to happen, but I don't think it would. Snag Beal then trade DeMar and Jose for Rudy Gay. Sign Nash. PLAYOFFS.

The Cavaliers are likely to select Harrison Barnes with the fourth overall selection if he remains available, according to sources.

"He's a pretty big deal to them," one such executive said.

Cleveland was known to be high on Barnes during the 2011 NBA Draft process before he elected to remain in school for his sophomore season.

Royce White has learned to cope with an anxiety disorder that includes a fear of flying.

"I just buckle in," White said. "Once I get on the plane and I'm in there it's not really as big of an issue. It's more going to the airport when I'm the most scared, in anticipation of the flight. Once I'm on the flight it's OK. I got my movie going, my music going, it's more how much energy I exert being scared on the way to the plane."

White is most comfortable on the court.

"Basketball, I've been playing so long now that's almost a comfort zone," he said. "In between the lines I'm as comfortable as anywhere else in my life because I've spent the most time there."

Kendall Marshall knows there are parts of his game that need to improve.

“I am working on improving my body, being more explosive, my lateral quickness and becoming more of a threat offensively,” Marshall said.

A student of the game, Marshall likes to study game tape of standout point guards.

“I think my game is very unique, but I will look to some of the great point guards for little things they do that I can add to my game,” Marshall explained. “[Rajon] Rondo and his ball fakes, Steve Nash with the bounce pass and scoop shots. These are the type of things I want to include in my game, so I work on adding to them to what I already have.”

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

Lamb is a really bad interview. Wow.

Seems intelligent and all but just a poor speaker and seems to lack confidence.

I really don't see the leadership skills (atleast vocal leadership skills) that would make him climb in the draft.

I'm trying to guess how the draft order now that CLE wants Barnes

1. Davis (NOH)
2. MKG (CHA)
3. Beal (WAS)
4. Barnes (CLE)
5. TRob (SAC)
6. Drummond (POR)
7. Sullinger (hopefully) or Lamb (GSW)
8. Lamb or Rivers

I think if we trade for Gay and retain this pick it wouldn't surprise me if we took Rivers since he would further spread out the court and obviously we're in win-now mode. I still Lamb will/should be the better player when it's all said and done but if we had Rudy; Rivers may be a better "fit" (pains me to say) next to him

Not surprised if Cleveland takes Barnes.

Pairing him and Irving/Thompson is not only a great roster fit but he's a high ceiling player the cavs want.

Cavs want Barnes? Smokescreen.
